This place is a historic tourist spot, a kofun (historical site). Various things around the kofun, including the history boards and stone statues, are Wayspots, but this location is the only one without a Pokestop. I was able to confirm the presence of a portal in Ingress. There is also a Pokestop at another nearby kofun (historical site). Why is there no Pokestop around this location?
One possible reason for this is that it disappeared after the owner of the shrine behind it complained, but the tumulus (historic site) is a buried cultural property and is not privately owned, and the stone statue on the sidewalk is a little distance away from the temple
If the complaints have resulted in areas where Pokestops no longer appear, I don’t know the extent of the problem, and I’m worried about submitting future Wayspots, so I would like an investigation.
Also, if there are any experts on this issue, I would like to know why this is happening.
Hey @GURI0495 , welcome to the Wayfarer Community Forum. I can confirm that this location has been removed from Pokémon GO at the request of the property owner.
If you’re having difficulty finding nearby Power Spots, PokéStops, or Gyms, we recommend exploring local parks, tourist attractions, or other notable historical or cultural locations within your community.
