When submitting a Wayspot Appeal, make sure to include as much of the following information as possible:
- Wayspot Title: Erlebnistour an der Sandmühle Rohrau
- Location (lat/lon):48.625910/8.924490
- City:Gärtringen
- Country: Germany
- Screenshot of the Rejection Email (do not include your personal information):
- Additional Information (if any):
- The residents have officially complained about the appearance of the construction, and the spot may be demolished or reworked as a result of the complaint. So it might be better to negate my hasty submission and let me resubmit the spot after the mayor has made his decision. It would be a shame if players on site did not find what the submission promised. The official complaint will be presented to the mayor and local councillor tomorrow.
Hello and welcome,
Have you submitted a removal request in-game yet? This forum is for if your in-game request has been rejected, and there isn’t a screenshot provided for the rejection email.
More information about Wayspot removal can be found here (link is also at the top of the forums):
Thank you for the quick reply. The problem is that the stop was accepted, but it doesn’t appear in Pokémon Go. Since I only play Pokémon GO and not Ingress, I can’t submit the spot for deletion via Ingress, and I can’t submit it via Pokémon GO because it doesn’t appear.
There are forms at the top of the forum here you can use to report when you can’t report in game. If you use the “Wayspot Removals” one, you will get an automated email asking for proof you are the property owner. DO NOT REPLY TO THAT FIRST EMAIL. You can supply evidence this way. The team will create a ticket and start an email dialogue with you.

OK, thank you very much. The thing about the property owner put me off a bit, since I am not the property owner.

you can say that you are not the property owner on the form, then you get that automated email anyway. it has been impossible for me to get a result through that form when i have made the mistake of replying to that first email. but i have had fast action when i ignore it.
i prefer the options on the “Reporting Abuse” form, and Niantic has said that they determine whether any abuse has been committed, but i could see being hesitant to use that form with that title, especially for your own submission.
I’m fairly certain that this wont be removed until it is actually demolished.

Agree. Most Wayspots that are at areas that will be demolished aren’t removed until demolition has started.
There actually a block not far from where I live that had a couple Wayspots at the local businesses there, and I wondering if they had been removed when the old buildings were torn down and the new construction started. I was glad to see they were removed once demolition had started, and there currently are no Wayspots on that block.
I thought this was being reported as a construction site.
The OP didn’t make it very clear what is going on at this location. It does sound like it’s still up and accessible, but some in the community have petitioned the local government to have it demolished. They noted that the local government is taking up the issue soon, but no decision has been made, and there’s no guarantee that the petition will be granted.
BTW, this is the Wayspot in question, at 48.625813, 8.924241:

ty @DTrain2002
@Schillowbin if the wayspot does not have safe pedestrian access because of construction, which is what I thought you were saying, it should be reported for removal. If the wayspot exists and is safely accessible, it should not be reported for removal, at least not yet, at least not for those reasons.
This must not have synced into Ingress yet, since I don’t see a portal at those coordinates. I can’t imagine what the Wayspot could be from satellite view.
The title in English is Adventure tour at the Sandmühle Rohrau.
The description in English is this: This beautiful spot in the small town of Rohrau near Gärtringen is a brand new part of the adventure tour, which connects several historical facts through several locations. In addition to the facts about the gypsum Keuper and Stubensand deposits, you will find a small playground/sandpit with opportunities for sand processing. The place is located under a linden tree in a quiet little alley next to the old sand mill and the old smithy in Rohrau. There is also a bench to sit on here.

I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to start a big deal here. I just panicked when I heard that the whole neighborhood had already collected so many signatures on the day the monument opened (which is much bigger than the sign in the picture, by the way). I felt like I was too hasty in submitting it. This is my first post here, so understand, all I wanted was no trouble. You are right. At the time of writing the Monument is still there, ready to visit. I will probably fill out the form again if they actually start tearing it down or remodeling it, which is very possible since the community is very small. (~1600 residents)
Ah and btw., yes it says it was accepted over 4 days ago i think, and i still can’t see it in any Niantic game

Oh I don’t think you started a “big deal” and hope we gave you helpful advice. That’s what the forum is for!

I am not an expert in German architecture, but that looks like a house to me.
because it is. there was a blacksmith there in the past.
Some towns put up their historical pathway signs on the locations of former stuff, so it might just be just a house nowadays.
