POI off Landmark Location

  • Additional Information (if any): The PokeStop is on the side of the building, however the physical landmark (the sign that marks the Maintenance Facility) that it is based on is on the front of the building at 41.14529° N, 104.86646° W. It is too far to move with the relocate PokeStop in game option. I believe third time my submission was rejected.

The Wayspot is on the sign which was submitted as the photo. Possibly a location correction was done based on the rejected removal report.

Does this solve your issue with the Wayspot?

For future reference, if a location correction cannot be done in game, you can ask Help Chat to do it. Go to https://wayfarer.nianticlabs.com/new/help and a text box will pop up in the lower right corner. You can suggest coordinates and offer evidence such as geo-tagged photos if the correction isn’t obvious.

Good to know, I will try the Help Chat next time. My first time doing an appeal, I apologize.

I will have to check in game to verify if it is on the right spot, but this was rejected April 2nd and of April 10th it was still in the incorrect spot.

You have nothing to apologize for! Let us know if it is correct after sync today. Pokemon Go sync normally occurs around 3-4 hours from now.

Sorry for the delay, I was able to check in Pokemon Go today if the Pokestop had moved. Unfortunately it has not. It is still on the side of the building instead of at the sign on the front like you have shown.

Hi, @Citrisfur! We have taken another look, and we’ve already moved the Wayspot to the correct location.

Hello again; I waited 27 hours after the last response to give time for the Pokestop to update in-game but unfortunately it seems to not have moved and is still in the wrong location. Should I wait another day to make sure, or what’s the next step to take?

Given what you are describing, the location change may have happened when the sync was broken. Edits approved during this time seem to have not synced to Pokemon Go, even though they went through on the Wayfarer Map.

The fact it has been correct for at least 5 days on the map but still is wrong in Pokemon Go strongly indicates a sync issue.

Attempting to do location changes via Wayfarer will not work, as according to Wayfarer it is already in the correct location.

This would require someone like @NianticAaron to fix so that the Pokemon Go Pokestop location is changed to match the Wayspot location.
