Additional Information (if any):
waypoint is present in wayfarer but the pokestop had been removed from game (I am assuming) due to a recent location edit causing it to overlap in a cell with another stop. Could it possibly be added back into Pokemon Go with the original location and stop info please?
Please let me know if you need any additional info. Thanks!
It seems another wayspot pokestop already exist in that cell. Only 1 pokestop normally can exist in each cell. If its in correct location, there is nothing you can do. Attempting to missplace wayspot into empty cell in order to create pokestop is subject to abuse ladder system
It was previously in the cell below that which is now empty. A location edit moved it up to where it was (as seen in map currently), causing it to be removed is my assumption. Although Iām not sure why the edit was approved if thatās the case since it was previously alone in the below cell for many years
If its in the correct place , there is nothing you can do. Wayspot should be placed at natural entrance for that building. it seems its already correctly edited into the main entrance. It seems eligible to become powerspot
Different game, but the portal for Gordon Palmer Hall is in exactly the same place in Ingress as the wayspot is for Wayfarer, which is the entrance to the building and a perfectly rational place for the marker.
Either the wayspot was moved a year ago or it has been identically moved in two separate games.
Regardless, it is located correctly and it isnāt possible to find a better location for the wayspot, so it wonāt get moved again. Presumably, someone didnāt like it being at a random spot on the building solely to massage the cells, so requested a move to the obvious location which was accepted.
Exactly! And hereās a screenshot from pogomap since itās outdated. Red circle on the top corner of the below cell where it used to be. And the yellow star later at the actual entrance.
Itās definitely still a valid stop location, Iām of course not opposed to either location, but like you said the real entrance is most logical. I just would like it back
I am sorry but i dont think its gonna work. Attempting to move it in order to create wayspot can be considered manipulating and subject to abuse ladder system. Its better to find other object in that empty cell
Is this still the correct way to request help from wayfarer staff to review the issue? Or should it be submitted another way? Iām not sure how long I should wait for some kind of official response but I was curious either way. Thanks!
This is the correct way to make a request like this.
Niantic staff read every post, but do not respond to every thread even if the op is asking for a response from Niantic. Sometimes they may respond saying that an action has been taking to reinstate/remove/adjust, sometimes they say āall actions have been taken correctlyā.
Sometimes, for issues which are clear-cut and have been given a complete and accurate response by the community, as this has, they may not respond at all.
The wayspot is now in the correct place and it wonāt get moved back to a less accurate place, as several people have commented. This doesnāt appear to need a comment from Niantic and after 8 days, you would do best to consider this resolved.
The part I donāt understand is why was the location edit approved if that made it āineligibleā to be in the game?
I agree the entrance is most logical, but the entire building is the point of entrance, not just the door. So thereās no logical reason why the old location would not be viable for a stop as well
If this was done through a community vote, they would have been given the two options and as the entrance is the most logical place for the Wayspot, it was the one selected. The reviewers rightfully didnāt take into account what would happen to the Wayspot should it be moved, and voted on what they felt was the better location for the Wayspot.
Itās unfortunate because the original pinned location looked ācorrect enoughā and should have been left alone.
