Pokemon not spawning near pokestop and gym

I frequently use a pokestop and gym near my workplace, and have for the past two years. The entire time I have played, zero wild pokemon have spawned in this location. They will only appear with incense or lure modules. This is in an urban area with other pokestops not far away that work fine. I have tried to email numerous times about this issue prior to finding this forum. Is there anything Niantic can do to resolve this issue and allow pokemon to spawn here?

I’m not sure that this is a Wayfarer issue.

This may have to do with what/where this location is in Open Street Map.

Others here can probably give you more insight. But again this doesn’t have to do with eligibility or wayspot acceptance into Lightship database.

It’s not a Wayfarer issue, having no PoGO spawns can not be caused by this team.
Some scenarios that can cause this for example are incorrect or old tags on Openstreetmap in the area, that then block the area from having any.

@2112carly Like LetsRollGirl said, the Wayfarer Team can most likely not assist you here as it happens outside of their product they support. You can reach the pokemon go team on X/Twitter or ingame chat bot, but usually they reject any more complicated request

Carly, Send me the Coords and i cant have a look on OSM for you. Please note that this may not cure the issue right away. The maps from OSM and Pogo dont update very often. It can be months before any maps are updated. I also have this issue in my area, which prompted me to learn how to map in OSM. Issues like Residential Estates that are completed but are still marked under as being Construction sites still under OSM, which im told, will block ANY spawns. Other areas are ofc School grounds etc, places like that. Other things that can increase spawns is mobile phone data usage in each area. Which can be why town centres are rammed with spawns. There is no Concrete definate explaination but those theorys sit well with my opinion. Good luck
