Apologies. We no longer have a definitive map to prove to you what is happening. The most likely answer is that your approved stop is in an occupied L17 cell. Pokemon GO only uses 1 item from each L17 cell to appear as a pokestop or gym. Anything else in the cell could become a power spot. Those seem to be updating monthly.
Hello, so we will no longer be able to see what is in the cells?
We have relied on a mix of the Ingress intel map of portals which shows the S2 cells along with other wayspots which are not in Ingress to get the fuller picture. Once the syncs are not updating slowly the accuracy of the sources which we have used, become unreliable. We can only give advice with a big health warning.
