I have third party tools installed to show the S2 cells on the Wayfarer map. We are not allowed to share links to third party tools on the forum, but you can do an internet search for “wayfarer tools”. The site with the ones I am using will also have a link to the Wayfarer Discussion Discord server, where you can ask for help and get great advice. Many of the Wayfarer Ambassadors are members.
Only use knowledge of the S2 cells to know where to look for points of interest that will be Pokestop eligible. I always feel like I have to be clear to NEVER misplace a pin to put it in an empty cell. And never use the cell map to try to move a correctly placed Wayspot into one. That is abuse, and Niantic takes that seriously. But it makes it so much less frustrating to understand why certain Wayspots become Pokestops (or gyms) and others don’t.
