PokéStop Approved but Not Appearing in Game

It has been several days since my PokéStop nomination was approved, but it has not appeared in the game. Could this be because the in-game location is different from the one I submitted (it seems to have appeared near the water), or is there another reason? I have attached photos for reference.

Have you learn about s2 cells? Below is what most likely happen here. Why an accepted Wayspot may not be used in Pokemon Go (S2 cells and Pokemon Go)

Although i cant see it in IITC cell since ingress and pogo have split, its still possible that wayspot exist in this location. Do you see any pokestop/gym in this area?

“Remember that not all accepted nominations will appear in all Niantic games (and may take up to 48 hours to appear)”

You might want to learn about s2 cell to prevent future dissapointment but know that you know this information, missplacement of wayspot submission into empty cell is subject to abuse ladder system.

no, there isn’t

Another reason is that its removed/geo blocked by property owner. Only staff can confirm this.

No, this is a coastal walk.

Hello and Welcome,

This does not stop it from being blocked by the property owners.

Maybe they had complaints in the past, any property owner (with evidence they are who they say they are) can request a geo block of the area.

Everything stated so far are possibilities, hopefully a member of staff will jump in and confirm.

This is a space where anyone can enter.

That doesn’t change anything. If the owner of a property, whether public or private, has asked Niantic to block it, then Niantic have to block it. This can happen anywhere.

For a made-up example. Consider a really popular public space which attracts lots of visitors, and imagine there being frequent groups of Pokemon Go players holding raids or gigantamax battles and causing a blockage, making it hard for other visitors to get around the space. The local council (or relevant authority) might decide that the Pokemon Go activity is causing a problem and might ask Niantic to block raids or to block an entire space.

The property owner is entirely within their rights to request a block.

I understand. It’s a pity, but I have to give up this place.

Unfortunately, moving on to somewhere else is the easiest and only option that is 100%.

The only alternative is if you can find out who might have authority, contact them for the reason, if suitable request that they reconsider and that they should contact Niantic again.

I have seen messages here this suggests that Niantic and the property owners can compromise such as “Pokestop” only or Gyms that don’t hold raids.

This seems a lot of work for 1 waypoint but if you really want it it might be worth trying.
