Pokestop not appearing in game (approved)

Hello,

My pokestop “Selar” @ 52.888106, -4.417830 has been approved but not appearing in game. As far as I can tell it is not a proximity or cell issue but maybe I’m wrong?

When did it get approved?

I cannot see anything wrong with the location. If it has been accepted for over 48 hours (like the email says to wait for) then it may be geoblocked at the request of a property owner, but that would require a Niantic staff member to confirm.

I think almost 2 weeks ago, there was initially another stop in the same s2 but it was for a location that no longer existed so I reported that at a similar time I think, wondering if that might slow things down?

When did the other one get removed?

Checked the dates and other one was only removed two days ago actually, reckon I just need to wait and see?

Welcome to the Niantic Wayfarer Community.

I understand you are concerned that one of your Wayspots does not show as a PokéStop or a Gym in Pokémon GO. We apologize for any disappointment this may cause, however, not all Wayspots become PokéStops or Gyms.

Each game has their own set of criteria for this step, so some nominations may be accepted into one game but not another.

The most common reason that an eligible nomination is not added to Pokémon GO is because the nomination is too close to existing PokéStops or Gyms. If an existing game location is removed or the criteria changes, the nomination may appear within Pokémon GO at a later time.

Please keep in mind that while this is a common reason, it is not the only one.

Thanks for the reply Aaron,

As far as I can tell it isn’t because it’s too close or sharing a cell with another though? Would be interested to know why exactly and whether I should try another spot.

I decided to check this again today. It is now showing as in a cell occupied by the pokestop Llên Llŷn Llyfrwerthwyr

I didn’t take a screenshot previously, but am certain the cell it was in was showing as unoccupied. I wish I had so I could compare to see what has changed.

You reported the existing Pokestop for removal.

It then takes a day for the PGO sync to happen and for the Pokestop to get replaced.

But the Wayfarer Map is not live data. The PGO data it shows is about 24 hours old, so you need to wait another day before the Pokestop status shows up on the Wayfarer Map.

This tracks with you saying the other one was removed two days ago. Given the various map syncs, it can take up to 48 hours before changes show up.
