Pokestop photo doesn't change in pokemon go

So the new photo has 4 likes and the old main one has just one like.
Shouldn’t it change to the photo with the most likes with the next sync?
It did change in Ingress, but Pokemon Go still has the old photo. Is there an additional thing to do to change it in Pokemon Go?
it’s been like that already 4± days

Assuming it has more likes in both games, you’re probably facing some “ghost” likes from ingress that don’t appear in pogo. You’ll need more likes in pogo to overcome these hidden likes.

Yes, this is a known issue, and most likely involves votes from Ingress still being counted before Lightship was introduces and the 2 games were separated. I’ve seen the same issue in my area, especially with older Wayspots taken from Ingress to create stops/gyms when PoGo started.

I don’t think there is an option in any of the other games except Ingress to like a location or “thumbs up” unless in pokemon go they count a player spinning a Pokestop disc or visiting a new pokestop (with a white ring around it) as a like.

When I’ve been submitting new nominations in my local area they’ve been appearing in Pokémon Go first and then Ingress second around 24 hours later.

So lightship updates Pokémon Go first before Ingress even though my submissions came from Ingress so Lightship is a weird beast to master as there’s something weird always going on with it. :man_shrugging:

There absolutely is a like feature in PGO.

In Pokemon Go, you can not only see likes, but you can also see how old the photo is

Idk i can see like count when click on certain photo. Or it’s incorrect?

Where did i said that there is no such?

It wasn’t you who said that there wasn’t a way to like photos in pogo @loneleon - it was this:

I should have replied directly to them. The reply buttons on Discourse are weird to me.

It does seem to be a weird PoGo bug, and not directly related to the picture votes in Ingress (although PoGo used to base the picture on the Ingress votes in the early days).

I do also think that not many PoGo players know about voting for pictures, and fewer still submit new ones. I do think having nice pictures makes the game a little more enjoyable.

I have never had a photo refuse to become the main one in Pokemon Go by the count in PoGo unless it was old enough to have this trapped Ingress votes from the time of the change over to Lightship as the database. And even then, with enough people voting on it in PoGo, it will eventually become the disc photo. It is just hard to get enough people to vote in PoGo as you mentioned. I do have several friends really into liking photos from gifts I send them though =)

More likes solved the problem :ok_hand:
