I created a submission for a pokestop near to me for a memorial that was recently erected and i was at the opening ceremony for. I first got told it was harassment and abusive and after the appeal i got told it doesn’t exist and the images are from a third party source even though i was the photographer for the open day itself
Additionally, the photo contains visible people, and the carrier bag could potentially be seen as someone trying to place an identifier in their photo for reviewers to look out for. Even if this is your photo, you should not submit wayspots using photos that you’re uploading elsewhere on the internet.
The supporting image also isn’t really doing you any favours. It seems to be focusing more on the people who are there rather than showing the plaque in its surroundings as it should do.
It was submitted at an incorrect location very far away from the actual location of the object. That’s considered a fake submission and can lead to sanctions on your Wayfarer and game account.
You didn’t let the photos upload before you posted. However, do bear in mind that your submission is meant to be anonymous during the review process. Due to this anonymity, there’s no way of reviewers knowing whether the image you used is actually yours if it also appears elsewhere on the internet, as it’s possible it was simply stolen from wherever it was uploaded to. Stolen images occur quite frequently within wayfarer, so it’s easier just to make sure that you take a couple of extra photos that are exclusively for use in wayfarer if you’re planning on submitting something.
Also, you haven’t addressed the fact that there are people in the photo you used as your main photo, nor have you really addressed what Aaron said about the nomination being located very far away from its actual location. Do you have a screenshot of your nomination from that wayfarer website that shows where you placed the pin?
@MDL7
I appreciate you are feeling frustrated but please ensure your posts remain respectful.
People are trying to explain the issues in order to assist you.
Your submission email should have the coordinates of the location you pinned the submission at and there is also a map view of the location. As @hankwolfman has pointed out this is a serious point that has been raised please do look at that information. It is something you need to address.
You also need to reflect that the picture does appear elsewhere and contains things that could have been cropped out.
