Pokéstop Removal (Objects Out of Date)

Before I actually talk about the Pokéstops that should be removed … why is there no option for me to submit a current picture of the situation as I’m telling the game “Pokéstop permanently removed”? This would prove immediately that the Pokéstop object is not there anymore. I don’t really understand this.

I submitted a few Pokéstop removals the past few days and the first one came back as a rejection, without specifics why. The object literally does not exist anymore, and there are quite a few of those in the area that need to be removed because the Pokéstops are old as heck (pictures are 6-8 years old).

This really does not encourage me to submit any more Pokéstop removals, nor does it encourage me to submit more, newer Pokéstops as these seem to be getting serial-rejections. I submitted 2 new Pokéstops 3 years ago, got a rejection, appealed them this week and got both of them approved … the system is very non-transparent and very discouraging for active folks. I submitted several new ones this week and got only rejections except for 1 approval so far. This combination means that in due time, there will only be missing/inactive Pokéstops around and no new ones. It’s very confusing.

Does this mean I need to take a photo of every Pokéstop I’ve reported even though I cannot submit the picture of removed/closed Pokéstop, then run to the forums to appeal the rejection manually? Yikes.

Thanks for the appeal, @Radgryd. Due to insufficient evidence, we’re unable to take action on the Wayspot in question. If you have additional evidence to share like photospheres/ geotagged images, please submit a new appeal with additional information and we’ll take another look.

After reviewing the additional evidence provided, we’ve decided to retire the Wayspot in question.

I have to strongly agree with OP here that it’s utterly stupid that every removal request is denied for insufficient evidence when there is no way to provide evidence. Please fix it Niantic.
