Is there any way to find out the reason for a pokéstop removal ? It is not listed in my contributions page in wayfarer (I believe it used to be) and I am pretty certain that nobody has filed a report nor tried to move it.
Hello and welcome @Kloks18
Your contributions page does not update if something you contribute later gets removed.
The most common reasons for a removal is that
It’s on Single family private residential property
It blocks emergency services
It is on a place where the focus is on under 18 years
It is graffiti/vandalism and should not have been accepted
It is in a dangerous location.
Is it possible it was one of those?
Hello and welcome,
Removal requests have never been listed in Contribution Management, and we are the ones that have to provide a reason when requesting a removal.
Are you saying that an approved Wayspot of yours has been removed? If that’s the case, we usually aren’t told as to why this happens; staff does know, but many times the info isn’t shared with us.
If this is the case, please post the info about the Wayspot in your original post, including title, location, and reason for requesting it be restored, as well as any recent photos showing it’s still around.
Thank you for the answer. Does the rule about private properties always apply ? For example if the wayspot is on a border of one and the owner doesn’t report it can it still get automatically removed ?
If it’s on the property and that includes the outwards facing wall or a fence then it can be removed.
