PokeStop removed after location modification

Hi everyone! It’s my first time posting over here…

I was notified a location modification of a PokeStop I submitted has been approved but the PokeStop is not there anymore at all, does it take sometime to show up in the new, and correct, location or is something else happening?

You have likely moved it into an L17 S2 cell with another Wayspot, so that it is no longer eligible to appear in Pokemon Go. If you give the name of the Wayspot and the approximate location, someone can try to verify that is what happened for you.

The location is 39.4271006, -0.3932175 and the Wayspot name is Parquecito, which means little park in Spanish.

I have no idea about what L17 S2 cell actually means :joy:

This is a good article about that.

You can read about them here. Basically they’re invisible boxes on the map, and each one can only contain one Pokéstop or one Gym.

It’s in the same level 17 s2 cell as Street Art -El arquero lunar. There can only be 1 PokéStop in a level 17 s2 cell

This is in the same L17 S2 cell as this now:

Lol, wow that needs a new picture

Alright that makes sense, thanks everyone for taking the time to explain it all to me.

Then, what should I do now? I can’t suggest a new location for that PokeStop because it isn’t showing up anymore, should I just create a new one suggesting the location outside that L17 S2 cell?

Edit: Are those green lines in the picture of the map the limit for every cell?

If the new location is correct there is nothing you can do.
Any new submission will be marked as a duplicate.

The green lines are the cells. Inside of the cells can only be one stop/gym.

Alright thanks for the information guys, I appreciate it, also I confirm that saying of not touching it if it works the way it is :joy:

fwiw the suggested pin placement for something like a playground is at the entrance. where the pin is currently interferes with play. if i did not know that you had just had them move the pin TO this position, i would have suggested asking help chat to move the location to the entrance of the play area. i do not recommend doing that now, as it is going to look like abuse of edits to move it back and forth.

The plaza here looks like it could be a separate Wayspot with all the benches, but may be hard to get a photo making it look distinct. is this a sign? it looks like one from the back from the other street but i can’t really tell

oh i guess the yellow is a trash bin, but is this other thing a sign for the plaza?

I might try suggesting that area as a PokeStop later, in the end it’s been a PokeStop for years but under the name of Parquecito.

Edit: I think it is not a sign.

The plaza is eligible without a sign, it is just easier to get accepted if there is one.
