Awesome graffiti. It should be back as soon as possible!

Not at all!

I personally know the author of graffiti and an official approval from local authorities has been given!

Nice! Niantic will probably want some proof that it is sanctioned by local authorities, so any evidence you can offer them to assist with restoring the wayspot would likely be welcomed.

Other works from the artist, what else do you need, Niantic?

Might be a good place to start. Pictures of other pieces this artist has done don’t show that the work in question is officially sanctioned and not vandalism.

To be fair, there’s absolutely no way to know if all of those were done by the same artist. It could just be a random selection.
You can recognize by “teeth signature”
We have many such graffiti pokestops created by this author in the city. What is the reason to remove exactly the mentioned one?
Ok, I will take a pictures tomorrow, will it be enough to get it back?
Depends how circumstantial the evidence is
I would kindly prefer also to know the reason of removal, to understand the problem and to react proactively, because this is not the only one of the pokestops that were removed recently in our region.
I’m not Niantic, but if I had to take a guess I would imagine it was removed because it looks like random graffiti which is considered vandalism.
If it was indeed sanctioned by the city than you would likely need to submit that to get the Wayspot restored. Graffiti that is kept to a corner of a wall like that is not often sanctioned, and often done without the authorization of the governing authorities so it’s at a higher likelihood to get removed than say a piece that takes up an entire wall.
If you can provide evidence that it was in fact authorized, then I’d imagine Niantic would look at restoring the Wayspot.

Hi, you want to say that only sanctioned graffiti is an eligible pokestop? I need to get some papers now from governing authorities for each graffiti? Seriously?
Yes. Unsanctioned graffiti could easily be painted over by the governing authority of the area, which would erase the Wayspot entirely. It is, in many areas, considered vandalism.
Think of it this way, if you can link to a newspaper article or other official source Niantic is much more likely to reinstate this.
Recently Niantic has been removing graffiti that appears to be vandalism. But they are good with sanctioned Street Art. You just have to give them confidence that this is sanctioned.
