Pokestops and Gyms Problem

I have a problem with this system of nomination. Why it is our duty to nominate pokestops and this lucky draw system where any random pokestop will become Gym depending upon the density of pokestops in that particular area.

Gyms are the most important aspect of this game specially for raids in which community will come and play together and where there are lots of pokestops some will become gyms randomly but, it’s upto us to nominate a pokestop but if they just don’t accept the requests or do nothing to increase the pokestop density, how do they think we will play?

In our day to day we have jobs, schools, colleges, we have lots of things in our plate we play this game or any other game to relax and have a good time but, then we see no gyms and to create one, one has to nominate pokestops and to nominate a pokestop there is long list of things which we have to keep in mind which determines whether it will be accepted or not. Even if nomination is accepted, it doesn’t guarantee whether gym will be created or not. Why it is so complex and weird?

Then there is the issue where you will just get banned for “fake submission” even if the nominations are genuine. Whether it’s visible from Google Street View or not.

In my locality there is no Gym and hardly 2-3 pokestop so even if people around me wants to play, they can’t because there is no gym. Even the local park is few kms away. It gets a lot harder when there is extremely sunny or rainy weather.

I can understand it’s a outdoor adventure game and it’s fun but for that I have to travel kms just to raid and even then there is no guarantee that I will find the players because nobody wants to travel long distances. That’s why I have spend money to buy Remote raid passes but it has it’s own issue like I in recent Dmax Regice Raids, after joining 2/4 people left and battle started so now with 2 players who don’t have top tier maxed out pokemons, it’s literally impossible to defeat. But then it’s gets better, I couldn’t join that same raid because lobby is expired and I just wasted my Remote Raid Pass.

This is why many people around my area stopped playing altogether or they started doing spoofing. But by doing so you will get banned. What I experience is because of the low availability of gyms there is low to none community to play and raid and this is why people leave the game or just do spoofing so that they can play.

If they want to minimise or remove spoofing, they have to increase the pokestop and gym density in these types of areas. They have to adjust the automated system because many times it just remove nomination and then we have to appeal it.
They have to notice the problem and act accordingly not just ban everyone.

We love Pokemon that’s why we love playing Pokemon games in PC and Mobile. Don’t make us quit one.
Thank you

Google Street View updates are very infrequent. Players often upload much more recent imagery, but since these don’t appear on Street View yet, it creates significant obstacles for the review process.

But my question is, why can’t they create spots like this? Large clusters of gyms and spots.
Not only does it attract local players, but remote players also get the confidence to join. And if I’m correct, they can access our game data and Gmaps data to determine the high-density areas like parks, gardens, marketplaces, etc, within the city. Why can’t they themselves create this like Pokémon Go sponsored?

That kind of density is only possible via developer overrides (for sponsored stops or for special events).

However, learn the system - including the S2 cell rules - and you may be surprised what you can do. I for example have been working fairly intently on my neighborhood lately - after a burst of seven stops in October-November, which caused three gyms (one of mine becoming one of them), I got back into it around early February, and have gotten another nine approvals and caused another gym; I also currently have eight more nominations pending, which will cause four more gyms if they all go through. In some cases I know exactly where the new gym should go (because I’m adding the second stop in an s14 grid and that virtually always gyms the first one), others I don’t (because it will be stop #6, which causes the second gym), but still…. and BTW we now have four cases (up from two when I started) of pairs of gyms with overlapping ranges.

As an example, here’s the wayfarer map of one of our two local parks. The two red dots are gyms, and you can hit both from the area in between - which is a parking lot - and the five blue dots are pokestops.

(in full disclosure, I actually have a total of 27 approved, but 11 of them are not in my neighborhood. One of these also caused a gym, which landed on an earlier one - they are in a grid that had none when I started - and the others I didn’t check. Also, I didn’t add any of the stops in the park pictured.)

I am afraid that kind of density only available with sponsored pokestop/gym. Its outside wayfarer scope

In the end of the day the density of game features is down to the game developers of Pokémon Go and not wayfarer. Others have provided the information the community has observed.
I am familiar with some of these screenshots as they are atypical and are repeatedly used in this sort of post, so they are not helpful.
All the game play aspects you mention are again down to how the developers are designing and how players are choosing to play. There are many ways to play the game you need to find a way that works for you to allow you to enjoy without stress.

Regarding the wayfarer aspect you refer to your nominations being rejected and at other point the risk of bans and fakes.
The community here will be very happy to assist and support with finding and advising around making good nominations that stand a good chance of success.

There is no risk of a sanction if you stay within the rules. There is no pressure from wayfarer to tempt people to create fake submissions. That is a choice people make to try and manipulate the game board in their favour to give them an advantage. Please do not be tempted to go down this route.

How can I see these markings in the website?

So what is the criteria for sponsered pokestops?

Yeah I was tempted but I do play other games, so I know tampered apk game will surely get me banned even if people around me are doing spoofing. It just sad that because my city is not a metropolitan there are not many areas with high density of pokestops and gyms which are crucial.

This is what I found on 2020 page I found on a site that I am unsure is linked to the current owners. This is what I believe the requirements are:

Need to install wayfarer map tool userscripts.

As for “sponsored” stops, these are in my experience generally large corporations. In the US they currently have a sponsorship deal with Starbucks, and have previously had deals with McDonalds, Target, Best Buy, and Gamestop.
