And can you maybe tell me why a bench and town Signs also not allowed? Its very hard to stay motivated and still play the game when you live in a very small village. Its hard to even find spots that could get accepted but then they get rejected all the way… I‘m having fun playing the Game but im almost at the point where I just want to quit because its very hard to find Pokemon it even get Pokeballs.
Only the artwork at the bus stop meets criteria to me. Standard utility boxes (or a tower in this case), a possible decoration on PRP (private residential property), and a hunter’s stand (which could be removed by the looks of it) aren’t great places to be social, to exercise, or explore.
The artwork is something that I would want to seek out and explore, so more emphasis is needed on the artwork, and less on the bus stop. You will want the title and description to both focus on the art; you can mention that it’s at a bus stop in the description, but the art should be the main focus.
If you are seeing utility boxes in-game, most likely these have art on them, which makes them eligible. Those most likely also focus on the art, or that the box/tower has art on it. The art on the box, again, is something I’d want to seek out and explore, whereas a normal utility box without art on it is pretty generic and indistinct.
Echoing the helpful comments above - among what is shown I would only suggest renominating the artwork, which looks very interesting, but not presenting it as a bus stop. What you got here are likely ML automated rejections, hence the lack of detail, but they are correct unfortunately.
I am sure many people on here would be happy to support you in helping this small area - be mindful of your privacy, but you are welcome to share the name of the place, and people can try to show you examples of eligible things they can find on satellite/Street View (if available in the area) for you to nominate. Only if you are comfortable with it though.
Just another quick remark that you are not necessarily nominating Pokéstops but Wayspots through the Wayfarer system. All games, including Pokémon GO, have density rules, so that not everything you nominate will make it into the game, despite what the prompt tells you. Just letting you know to avoid disappointment down the line - more on this here:
Obviously a straighter picture but this sort of closeness. Add any info you can find about it.
The title should also focus on the content of the mural.
Hi
There is a lot of talking about the art on the bus stop (rightfully), but don’t you think that the hunter seat also meet the conditions ? By definition it’s a place where people (not only hunters) can stay to observe wildlife, some of them could socialize if they meet there. It’s also an exploring object, by definition because it makes you scout the neighbourhood.
That may be the case for your area but in Germany a hunter seat is absolutely not used by anyone but hunters. As such it would be an unsafe adult location.
Agree with Kawin here. Here is what the rejection criteria notes about adult orientated locations:
Location is an adult-oriented store or service, such as a liquor store, shooting range, fir3arm store, or provides sexual and/or adult content
Basically, the use of fir3arms at the stand make it ineligible. And yes, even in the US, they are typically only used by hunters and some may even be on private land.
Hello and welcome @Nyavlys19
It’s a good question.
If it was solely an observation point it may be suitable - hides for watching birds typically are points of interest.
I appreciate that attitudes and uses may be different and therefore it may well have mixed usage where you are. However if weapons are used for part of the time then wayfarer will be on the side of caution and it will not be eligible. The scenario of under 18s walking up to a place where weapons are being discharged is not a good one.
That’s exactly what I was going to say. I only ever nominate bus stops if they have a mural and I name the wayspot what the mural is (I had two approved this week so far) I do mention that the mural is on a bus stop though in the supporting comments and that it will be good for players of our games because they’ll have something to do while waiting for the bus.
It would be a point of improvement for you to mention how the art relates to the eligibility criteria rather than its helpfulness in game.
It is almost a given that we are trying to improve the games we play. However the criteria asks real world significance of the point of interest submitted wrt being a great place to socialize, exercise, or explore.
I do focus on the eligibility and the pros of having such a Wayspot in the local network I put the bit about waiting for the bus, last, just ending with a bit of a light-hearted reason why the new Wayspot is so important. As I said, it usually works, I’ve had quite a few bus stop murals approved over the years.
I would still advise to remove any unnecessary game references entirely. I’m under the impression that it is just tolerated but potentially a rejection in the strictest interpretation for some.
Thank you for you answers, so the hunter seat could be a good place for a waystop in term of “what a wayspot should be”, but enters in the “adult oriented location” criteria because of the hunting practise. Sounds consistent.
They should all be stops. The gatekeeping is WILD, like bouncers taking themselves too seriously. You’re probably fiending for stops, meanwhile, near me I have stops so on top of each other clicking each one become difficult.
It is not gatekeeping to try and give polite, constructive advice to try and help a person increase their odds of success, or to try to keep their account out of trouble. Please be respectful to the people kindly giving their time to try to help.
I’m having the same problem here! There’s very few things to nominate here as well as I live in the countryside. Nothing geta through the reviews apparently. It makes the playing so much harder with very few pokestops and gyms around.
Places to expolre, exercose and socialise are very different in small towns and countryside than big cities full of sightseeing and stuff. I feel that Niantic and the Wayfarer system don’t understand this at all.
