Pokestops in small towns

I used the youth center and i put its used for communty gatherings like dances feast and summer and winter festivals…but it got denied

Even the post office got denied and the house of prayer church…The bandoffice is where all the community business are like hydro, cable, housing office, chief and council office basically all our essential businesses for infrastructure is in the bandoffice

You need to show us how exactly you submitted those that got denied (in full, with supporting information and rejection reasons). You also need to be clear on what @cyndiepooh said - if any of them are on school territory or only for underage children they might not be eligible.

Well, this def classifies as a rural town. Unfortunately, there is no Goggle street view. Just like @cyndiepooh I’m looking around from the overhead map! Hopefully, I find something eligible for you.

This is a village.

Look, at the POI for Fort Hope itself. I think that is mispinned. I think the photo is for the airport, but its pinned on the Fort Hope Inn. Both of those could be individual wayspots.

FYI: band is similar to tribe, as this is where the Eabametoong band of indigenous people live. Several of the Ojibwe tribes in my area use band instead of tribe.

So, a band office would be similar to a city hall, which are eligible.

We need to see some of your full nominations with your rejection reasons before we try to help more. The photos you shared above are not great photos, and it could be that the ML (machine learning ai) model is rejecting them because of the photo quality instead of the point of interest being eligible or not. You don’t have to be a professional photographer, but you should try to take the nicest photos you can for submitting. You can take your photos first and then check through your gallery to see what looks best. Small adjustments are allowed, like straightening and cropping. Then you can choose the existing photo when you make the nomination.

If you are sure that your nominations meet criteria, then you can appeal any rejection. You get 2 appeals, each on a 20 day timer before you can use it again.

I don’t know if you know how to access your nominations online, but they can be found in Contribution Management at the link below:

To be clearer, the website above shows you all your contributions as well as the rejection reasons. I think this view is what is being asked. From there, we can work with how to improve your submissions.

The Wayfarer process is more than just the photos. How to convey the criteria and verify the details also comes into play.

@Mrman242 I think these can work. What I am about to say is nothing more than advice. Other views will contribute.

Tell us what you think is a good. For instance you could say this.

Title: Eabametoong Band Office
Description. Community centre for the Eabametoong Band. A band is a word used describe how the Eabametoong view their community. Band is similar to words such as tribe, mob or clan.
Supporting info: Place to socialise and explore.

Main photo and supporting look good.

For the adult education. Try and get a main photo without the pole of fence in. Edit on phone and when you create add from gallery

Some may say comment on Band is too much. But I never knew that. The mob here, driven by you has just taught me something. Some people do read the descriptions and something informative goes a long way

That is a lot of snow. I have forgotten what is is like!! 29C where I am - so it’s nice to see something different

As everyone says. Use the website to see your nominations. When you create your nominations Don’t submit till at you can access the website and easily put on hold your submission. Putting your submission on hold means you can edit text at will. I open website, log in. Go to contributions. Then I open my app. Click submit now and refresh page till I see it and when I do I click on it and when it opens up hit the Hold button. Now I try to perfect my text and ensure I provide as much evidence including links in supporting information.

Good luck

IS there a picnic table or gazebo at this place @Mrman242 They can be POIs too where @cyndiepooh had the google aerial view of the lake?

Those are essentially good photos :sunglasses:
You have got the right idea with the supporting photo. Do use the supporting text to walk someone through how key features in the photo will match what they see on satelitte view.
Your photos are nice and clear

I played around with the education centre one. The distracting pole with a warning sign has gone. I’ve centred it so that it will look good when it appears in the game by getting the part of the image in the middle. So try taking it again as straight on as you can and then light cropping before using it.
It can seem picky but it would be good to build in good habits from the start.
The photo is what the reviewer sees first so a good photo sets off the review on the right track.
I agree with @TheDoctorBird a little bit of explanation helps. This could potentially be reviewed by someone from anywhere in Canada. They might be very unfamiliar with what you are presenting. So think about what you would say to a stranger.

That area by the beach sounds interesting.
It might be too covered in snow to see what is there right now, but it sounds as though that has a lot of potential.

I don’t think anyone mentioned, I could be wrong as I read pretty quickly through this, the pictures in the OP (not sure if that was pre or post merge the threads) that were taken at night. If those were submitted for the nominations, you may have had some rejections for the pictures. Be sure to get the best pictures that you can that make it clear what’s being nominated. Night photos can be good ones but may be something you want to avoid.

That sounds more like it’s a postal counter/station within the store and not a stand alone Post Office. If I’m correct, I’d be inclined to nominated the variety store. It may not be an easy slam dunk and would need some good supporting information to show its importance in the community, but it could work.

The Band office is basically a “city hall” type facility. I would think it should be good. Perhaps you may want to include this link in your supporting information for those who might not be familiar with this First Nation.
