The most likely reason will be that a nearby wayspot is preventing this POI to show up.
If you can go to that area and start a new submission you’ll see on the location screen if there’re other wayspots.
Or you’ll leave the coordinates (you can find them in your submission email under the photo) and someone is maybe able to give a hint.

Using the co-ords of the Google Maps pin (20.304813, -96.849389) there are no other waypoints in the cell as of May 2025.
Unfortunately, we do not have an up to date map since the sale of Pokemon Go to Scopely (we have been promised one “soon”).
The only option at the moment is the “new submission” map as stated by @AliceWonder1511

Assuming that something else got to the cell before yours…
Your nomination may…
- become a Powerspot (Dynamax / Gigantamax) depending on its proximity to other waypoints.
- replace the existing waypoint if that is removed for legitimate reasons. ***
- be used in other Scopely games.
***Do Not attempt to get a legitimate wayspot removed just to get yours on to the map. This is seen as Abuse and can lead to suspension / bans of all accounts (Wayfarer, Pokemon Go and any other Scopely games).
En realidad, no me interesa que algun wayspot sea removido, ya que todo esto a sido legítimamente aprobado, lo único extraño del asunto, es que no ha aparecido, fue aprobado desde el 27-28 de octubre, en realidad, en toda la zona de costa esmeralda hay muy pocos lugares (siendo un lugar turistico) comparado con algunas ciudades donde hay muchos inclusive wayspot juntos. Mi duda viene respecto al por que no ha aparecido o si en algun momento aparecerá en el mapa.

The red pin indicates the coordinates you posted. You can check in Pokemon Go to see if anything else has been added to this area that does not show on this outdated map. You can also check in the nomination map screen if you begin a nomination here to see if it has been moved from where you pinned it. You will need to have the toggle in the bottom left corner turned on, and your Wayspot should be at one of the (!) marks if it is not being used in Pokemon Go. It will look something like this:

I hate the wording that it is being used in other Niantic games. It only indicates that it is not being used in Pokemon Go, and has nothing to do with other games.

En tu imagen se ve que aparece una Pokeparada/gym a la isquierda del pin de tu nominacion.
