Additional Information:
Trying to understand how a queen elizabeth post box is being declined when so many other mailboxes are pokestops. Seems standard?!
Rejection criteria is: ‘generic business’ simply isn’t true. Especially not ERII has passed away so no more of these will be made
Finding the effort to make new stops is made. Victorian stink pipe rejected despite best efforts to reflect a well thought through nomination and now this.
So firstly, only UK reviewers will really accept postboxes of any kind, so its often not useful to appeal them as most postboxes globally are completely ineligible and it’s very specific to the UK having the royal cypher that means they are often accepted
Secondly, the UK reviewer base decided a while back that generally speaking, Elizabeth boxes are too common to be waypoints, as there are so many of them, and because at the time, she was the current monarch. I believe that’s still the consensus, so this would be unlikely to be accepted given its an Elizabeth cypher.
Ok, some very useful points here. Had no idea that the ERII were deemed mass produced so not appropriate. Clearly the most helpful insight and much appreciated.
I’ll take on board and consider how best and comically to deface it. Barry might well be the best so far
