Power Spots disappearing day by day

Does anyone know why my only power spots have disappeared? The first day of which they were placed, were four. Next day, they became two. Today, I managed to get another pokestop squeezed in the middle, and another power spot got removed. I would understand about the pokestop one, but what about the two that are missing?

With the “Memories in Motion” season, the community has observed that the Pokemon Go team cut the number of active Power Spots down to 1 per L14 S2 cell, down from 2 per L14 previously, except during Max Monday, and other events.

We have also observed that Wayspots within 22m of a Pokestop will not be used as Power Spots. So your new Pokestops may have made the other Wayspots ineligible to be Power Spots.

(I am unable to get much information from that general area link. Others may be able to. If you want to leave the coordinates specifically for the newly added Pokestop, those will be underneath the photos in the submission email. Maybe we can explain more if we can check those.)

As well as everything @cyndiepooh has said about the changes around active powerspots from the link you have given I can see that some wayspots can’t be powerspots.
This series of screenshots shows the 22m circle of influence around the 3 pokestops/gyms and how each affects different wayspots.

This final screenshot shows the overall picture of the wayspots that if the community is correct and the 22m does prevent powerspots what the current situation is.
You still have other wayspots that can be powerspots, it will then depend on them being selected and active.

I have this written up for when I see a wheresmypokestop question. I know the in-game prompt tells you that you are submitting a “Pokestop” but you are actually submitting a Wayspot to the database. In an L14 S2 cell 12 wayspots will be selected to be used as powerspots for the month.

Since the 12 powerspots have been selected for the month, the powerspots that were chosen in those 12 and are now ineligible to show up will sometimes cause weird things.

The L14 S2 cell might pick one of those ineligible spots for a powerspot for the day, but since it is ineligible because of the 22M rule, no powerspots will show up in that L14.
