How are Power Spot created in pogo?

How are Power Spot created in pogo, can we influence them anyhow? Is there anyway we can create some? Most of them are regards garbage.. we know pokestop gets created 1 per lvl 17 cells.. do we know anything about Power spot? Which lvl of cells do they use? Do we know Power spots coordinate anyhow? Has anyone ever managed to create a new Power spot? Any information Is welcome

Hello Explorers, In response to the widespread interest in this subject, the Wayfarer and Pokémon Go teams came together with some response to your main questions. Let’s first align on the terminology. In Pokémon Go, those new locations where you can experience Dynamax and Gigantamax are called Power Spots. They are different locations than Pokéstops and Gyms. The imports typically do not have photos or descriptions, and are not on the Wayfarer map. The unused Wayspots that do get used will have photos and will be listed as being used in other games on the nomination map in PoGo. Here’s how imports look:

Also to note that Power Spots cannot be within 22m of an active stop/gym, and only 2 Power Spots can be active in a L14 S2 cell at the same time.

You can see the active Power Spots in Campfire, and there is an option to view it in your Maps app, which would allow you to get the coordinates. There is no database where we can see all of the Power Spots at this time.

It may not be a good thing to try and “influence” Power Spots, as this could be seen as trying to manipulate the map, which is against the ToS and considered abuse. Yes, there are a good deal of imports for Power Spots, but that’s something that the PoGo team decided on, and we can’t nominate anything to be a Power Spot, which may not have to follow the Wayfarer criteria if an import. We still have to follow Wayspot criteria when nominating, and can only hope that our Wayspots may get used as a stop/gym/Power Spot in PoGo.

A power spot can be created like a pokestop - it’s just a new PoI that happens to be in the same cell as an existing stop or gym. It needs to be 22m away from a stop or gym to become eligible to be a power spot.

So in places where there are multiple things in an area like a village centre where maybe there is a cafe, restaurant and a noticeboard, where previously people maybe thought there’s not much point submitting the other 2 things since the noticeboard is already a stop, now it would be worthwhile as the other 2 things could potentially make power spots

So I Need to not create pokestops in 22m radius of and existing Power spot or It Will disappear Forever?
There’s no way to increment the amount of wayspot in a determinate area, or to decrease the concentration of Power spot all close together to redistribuite them Better on the map?
If we divide a map by tracking 4 lines in 9 zone, the Power spots in my Town all occupy the First row: 1, 2, 3; while the second (4,5,6) and third (7,8,9) row are pretty empty.
Is the proportion of Power spots the same everywhere?
Like in an unluky city there are as many Power spots as there can be, the same amount as for example in New York and It can’t change the amount.
If I create a wayspot within the 22meters radius, Will the near Power spot cease to exist with the 1 month Sync and another wayspot Will appear more frequently far away from that Place?
When (day and possible hour) does the wayspot Sync happens in pogo?

This would only happen if your PowerSpot is an imported one with no pokestop/gym in that cell.

The 4th of each month 3PM PDT. But theres a running theory that every 3rd month could be skipped(Feb 4th being the next potential skip if the theory holds)

The 22m radius Is worth only for the pokestop inside the Cell?
If a new wayspot Is 25m distance from the pokestop in the same cell but only 20m distance from a pokestop in a different Cell, Will the wayspot still turn into a Power spot or the 22m radius must be from all existing pokestops?
How mamy Power spots can be per S17 Cell and per S14 cells?

Let me answer your questions.

The 22 Meter rule applies to every nearby pokestop or gym, not just the one in that particular.

There is no limit on how many powerspots can be in a level 17S2 cell, but since the rule is there, space is limited so the amount powerspots as well.

2 powerspots can be active in a level 14S2 cell if avaible. If there are more avaible the powerspots will rotate between the avaible options. So no limit for level 14S2 cells.
