If you mean the “drawing” on the bus stop, in that case, no
I also tried a post office, again in the more remote part of town so you find people there and you chat with older people but nothing works, I also asked for a bench, I had seen some go by but it was not accepted (yet it too is quite used and people talk on it, especially with seniors who sit on it)
okay X)
Post offices are historically eligible as a place to be social. I’d recommend appealing that one. Let us know if you want tips for the write up.
Benches can be eligible but there is work that needs to go in to it.
There are some of these points that I don’t know, and for example the top part is completely empty T-T
for centre hospitalier de vierzon, you have the exact same problem as the senior residency - yes people go there but it is out of necessity, and therefore ineligible as it is not actually socialsing.
Additionally, also not excercising, and exploration is also out of question, because medical services buidlings are often not a place someone would notice or take you to it to look at it
That’s great news, thank you! (Unfortunately, I just can’t seem to appeal; the button doesn’t appear when I go to a request T-T)
post office can be eligible. can you share your nomination attempt of it?
this means you already used your 2 appeals; each has an individual cooldown of 15 days after last use
I see, I wanted to try it as it’s a major point in the city, but with these criteria it’s a different aspect.
The Machine Learning model - the “automated process” - usually acts around 24 hours after submission if it is going to reject. The nomination may remain in queue for a while after that if not rejected, but will eventually go into voting. There are two kinds of voting: community review by other explorers like us, or in-house Niantic review, which will be denoted by the Niantic symbol. There is nothing to worry about if it goes to in-house review, as they pull some to review themselves regularly.
Did that help with this question?
Hmm, you can see it at this address on Google Maps in Street View:
2 Rue Barbès
Vierzon, Centre-Val de Loire
It’s really just a small post office, but people meet there. You can also see the bench and a green space where I often sit with friends (it’s well-maintained, and people come to relax there).
(I’ll be back in a few minutes, sorry, I have to take care of something. Thanks for all the help I’ve had so far!)
Okay, thank you! But do you know how long it takes for a review by Niantic’s service directly?
It can vary. Two weeks would be a long time in my experience.
this address doesn’t lead me to a post office? And I meant to ask for your title, description, pictures and supporting information for it that you used
Vierzon Post Box
A post box in Vierzon where people can meet up or drop off their mail.
I’d like to increase my city’s Niantic Points and encourage people to play and go out.
I tried it out during my first POI requests. As the description says, you can meet people there and chat with them. It’s on the sidewalk and safe (it’s not a post office but a post box; there are a few for letters and mail, but the post office is quite far from here).
Furthermore, do you know why I can no longer request calls? Is there a limited number? I made two calls about things that weren’t clear to me (and I received answers to those questions), however, I can no longer make any more. Is this normal?
Make sure you select a category from the unlabelled dropdown to the left of “optional tags”. The category is mandatory and you get a really weird message if you don’t select one, but the user interface gives no indication of it being mandatory.
And another question (yes, another one!), how do the POIs work for sculptures? I’ve seen a few different ones, from simple sculptures (often in parks or more rural areas) to artistic or religious sculptures, but my question is about statues, for example, on property boundary markers. We’re hesitating about putting one up on our property or in front of our land, closer to the street near the entrance. Would that be allowed?
