Public City Pool was rejected

I will say that this was accepted by Niantic eMiLy. Like I said before, I am a firm believer in submitting the clubhouse versus the actual physical pool.

This is a city pool, there is no clubhouse.

No changing room? Entry? Locker room?

To be honest, I think submitting the changing room or locker room would be worse. I almost always reject those due to Sensitive Location. I do not think people should be playing on their phone in those locations.

How on earth is a changing room or locker room a great place to be social or exercise? I have never seen one of those come through in review and i would absolutely reject them as sensitive location.

SMH, the entry to the pool, the place where you gather to go to the pool, the place where the pool is entered at.

I don’t see many pools that don’t have a fence around them, there is usually a gate, there is usually a structure that allows access to the pool that place can be a simple as a gate and as large as a building that houses the locker room.

This is what to nominate vs nominating the hole in the ground that holds water.

You are still nominating the pool but it’s the structure where you gather.

I just searched pool in my accepted nominations, so the word pool appears in the description likely. Notice what the picture on the majority of the pool nominations are.

The photo can be improved but I would have given a positive vote to this proposal. If I may the advice, before resending or appealing, try to get a better photo.

Yeah, so this photo does show the entry place to the pool. That is the primary gate where people enter. This is a city run pool in a place that doesn’t have a lot of funds to devote to public amenities.

Sure, if this were near me, i could easily get back to renominate. But this is a small town that i made a special trip to for the sole purpose of nominating POI in a rural area.

I think i submitted about 30 things that day. Including the travel there and back and finding my way around an unfamiliar place and finding things to submit, 30 is quite a lot in one day.

Hahahahahahahaha!

While this has been a great conversation, and hopefully a demonstration of how to post information about nominations, it is now a moot point. I looked up this pool to try to find images to prove that the gate in my photo is the point of entry and discovered that the city decided to close this pool this year. (I nominated it last year.)

They are evidently building an indoor pool for the city and decided not to devote resources to both pools. So i won’t be appealing this!
