[Question] Art on walking street (ground) eligible or not?

I would not reject this art just because it is on the ground, so yes, I feel this would be an eligible nomination that I would consider like any other. Did they convince you that it is likely to be permanent rather than just for some event, and is it on school grounds, for example.

I feel the same. The only concern if its in School ground or its not permanent

I, too, feel that this sort of public art can be a good Wayspot.

There seems to be a requirement that art must be officially sanctioned these days, to avoid encouraging illegal graffiti.

It remains unclear how Niantic staff decide when proof of official sanction may be required. If you know of a web-page connecting the site to a civic group or renowned artist it’s good to include the link in your supporting information.

This is not by any means foolproof for proving permanence, but if it appears on satellite view, that can be helpful as a likely indicator of permanence.

Well it nd to be judge case by case.

Don’t judge that one particular image which was I shared, I just need to know such category is comes under eligible criteria or not?

We will judge it’s permanence later, during the review.

Wayfarer criteria is not based on categorical eligibility. Each nomination is to be judged individually.

It isn’t categorically ineligible for being on the ground and art or murals aren’t categorically eligible.

Decide, based on the nomination, if an art piece appears to encourage exploration and does not fit a rejection reason.
