Rejected - Community Sled Hill

image

Looking for ideas on improving this submission, since the rejection reason is pretty vague.

Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the forum.

The rejection reason means that this was rejected by Niantic’s Machine Learning model, which could not detect anything it understood to be eligible about the nomination. I think an unmarked sledding hill is going to fail point 2 of the Acceptance Criteria https://niantic.helpshift.com/hc/en/21-wayfarer/faq/2771-acceptance-criteria/

Must be a permanent physical, tangible, and identifiable place or object, or object that placemarks an area

So this is not one that I would personally keep trying.

Just a note for you to decide aggressively you want to pursue this nomination, if I have found the correct location, it would not be eligible to become a pokestop anyway.

There is a topic that explains this issue here: Why an accepted Wayspot may not be used in Pokemon Go (S2 cells and Pokemon Go)

Lots of folks on the forum are great at looking on Maps and making suggestions of points of interest you may want to submit. I am not the best at it but will have a look.

i see something that looks like it could be an information board or a place name sign for the “Romeo Memorial Fields” complex across the street, but i can’t really tell from street view from the back.

maybe check this out? it might just be some sort of board for mounting equipment, and that would not be eligible if it is just infrastructure.

Thanks for your help! That is indeed just a big locker for equipment so does not qualify. Could you tell me how to overlay that grid so I can know if I’m too close to other pokestops? Thanks!

We are not allowed to share links to third party tools on the forum, but you can do a search for wayfarer tools and find them. There will also be a link to the Wayfarer Discussion Discord, where people can help. The group is passionate about doing Wayfarer correctly, and includes a lot of the Wayfarer Ambassadors.

In the meantime, here is a similar screenshot to the one I shared before with the background turned to satellite view.
