Additional Information (if any): This area is a private country club neighborhood. There is no Appalachain Mountain Club that meets here and it is NOT a local outpost or headquarters. This Wayspot was submitted under false pretenses and should never been approved in the first place as the image is just a sign on a canoe rack (of which I submitted photographic proof of such).
I have to voice my frustration here as this process just serves to illustrate the problem that we constantly have to take extra steps to prove that Wayspots do not belong. I have reported stops in this neighborhood numerous times as they are either misleading or have an illegal presence. I am local to this area and therefore know what is and what isn’t so when I report a Wayspot I should be trusted that I am acting in good faith the first time. Why does the Report feature exist in the game at all if it will be automatically assumed we’re lying about it? It makes no sense to make us go through a tedious process to correct errors in our communities when we are literally the first authority in our area.
Hello and welcome @ButActually
I understand your frustration over this process.
However the policies and procedures around this are there for very good reasons. It’s a classic case that because some people act maliciously to remove wayspots for their own advantage on the game map it means that those acting in good faith to report wayspots have to provide proof.
This area of the forum also caters for those that have had wayspots falsely removed, so we are aware that it does happen.
So although you are finding it understandably frustrating it is the process in place and you have to work with it. Asking for further information is simply to help you present a good case
Since this location is not on streetview, have you got some evidence about this location.
Areas that are private and restricted access are allowed, but if this is on Single Family private residential property (SFPRP) then it’s not allowed. So perhaps there is a local property website that shows individual property boundaries? That would be another source of evidence.
Providing Geotaggged photos to prove the current situation is commonly asked for.
Quite a few of us use the free app GPSmapcamera.
You can post photos and website links in this topic.

Hi @ButActually
Welcome to the forum from me as well
I wanted to add that there’re two more ways to report abuse and let wayspots be removed.
You can either use helpchat (wayfarer menue → help → orange bubble) or the form at the top of this forum. In both cases you can add more evidence.
