Rejection from automated process opinion

This nomination was rejected by the automated system, your opinions will be gladly accepted and appreciated. Thank you wayfarers! :love_you_gesture:

The automated rejection seems reasonable. It’s just a bench in an area with a few other identical benches. Picnic areas are generally valid; individual benches are generally not eligible. They need something distinct - memorial to a famous person, memorial to world wars, situated in a spot with an impressive vista etc.

Its a newly established communal park thus the lack of much greenery. Picnic, resting etc all are allowed.

Hi @Meando
You said that this park is a new creation. Do you’ve maybe a link to an article about the project? If this space is created to give the community a gathering place, it should be possible.

i didn’t comment on the lack of greenery  This could equally have been because of the local climate.

if the park is a place used for picnics, this doesn’t make the bench eligible. It might make the park eligible, but even that would be a tricky sell because all open areas are available for picnics, just like all benches are available for sitting on and resting.

Benches in general are just too generic and treated as infrastructure.

Looking at the submission as it is, I probably would have rejected it. I would need more context in order to rate it any differently. As what @AliceWonder1511 has said, if you have a link about this specific project, it may help us be convinced to vote differently.

Yes I undestand so doing a submission for the whole park would be more plausible for acceptance? What picture should I sumbit? The entrance? The entrance plaque?

It did not go to voting it was automaticly rejected my niantic

I know it was rejected by automation, but if it had gone into voting, and if I had seen it…. I would have struggled to accept it.

If there are any entrance signs, playgrounds, named trail markers, etc. I would suggest nominating those.

AI scanned it and probably saw too much ground and sky. Nomination primary pictures need to zoom in on the object being nominated.

But I wouldn’t resubmit it if I were you. Once it gets past AI, human reviewers will decline it because it’s a generic bench.
