Seeking help with rejections. Their AI accepted a waypoint and then I later realised I shouldnt have submitted it because its a playground at a school. I thought it made sense to add at first because it is open to public during non school hours. After reading the guidelines I realised it still should’nt be a waypoint and I requested that be taken down. And I have that all worked out with Niantic.
However I mention that because their AI rejected a bunch I thought would be ok calling them generic businesses. I have never seen these signs duplicated elsewhere so to me they are distinct and unique.
It feels like their AI is doing the opposite of what you would think. Feels like its accepting things it shouldnt and rejecting things I would think would be ok. Especially a somewhat boring area, we ain’t got much out here, but we got signs! 
These do all look to be generic businesses. Can you say how they’re great places for exploration, exercise or being social with others?
Its really with them being all along the sidewalk that to me makes them promote exercise. Because you open the app and want to walk through stops along a path, and them being along the sidewalk makes people want to go along those sidewalk routes.
Something being on a sidewalk (or pavement for me here in UK) doesn’t mean it’s a great place for exercise.

The rock or tree along the walkway are also objects along your route but that does not mean they meet criteria. The business itself needs to be a place that someone would visit specifically to exercise or socialize. Like a gym, adult dance studio, game room, bowling alley, café, popular restaurant, or something similar.
I’ve seen many many stops at least in the US that are just nameplace signs just like this. Thats what gave me the impression these would pass. But I guess not these. Admins please just go ahead and delete this thread. Thanks.
I do have a critique for Niantic. Why can max power spots pop up temporarily at any inkling of a business on a random shuffle while meeting 0 or nearly 0 of the criteria of the stops and gyms, I’ve seen a lot of those.. peoples houses that happen to run a small business and have no sign etc. 
Surely those dont promote travel other than it being a game location, not an appropriate place for gathering or exercise. And there are lots like that. Seems silly to me this contrast but it is their game after all.
You’re right they don’t. The powerspot thing is pretty new and niantic wanted it to go well and likley realized that there were not enough POI placed correctly to become powerspots except for in big cities. In order to make game play work even for rural areas they imported a bunch of buisness name points from a third party database. At least this time they made sure the points could only be used as powerspots. Many are misplaced or inappropriate. You can report the ones that are on houses or other banned places and niantic will remove them.
By definion a rock and tree are generic objects. Please find me nearly identical signs to these.
There are way too many to report that would be a full time job.
What do you mean? Every rock and tree are unique individuals with thier own history! 
They just don’t meet criteria for exercise, socialize, or explore.
I mean trees like the party tree from LOTR I give that a pass ok lol.

The business signs you posted are just signs with the business details which is what make not “Distinct”. Most business signs could be unique if all it took was a different business name
