Removal Request Appeal - LFL on PRP

  • Wayspot Title: Little Free Library 6878
  • Location (lat/lon): 46.860358999999995, -96.793568
  • Email Screenshot:

This LFL is located on a single family PRP, which is visible both on Google Maps satellite and Street View. On satellite and Street View, the driveway is shared with the home to the south, but they have separate garages and are both SFPRP, which might be confusing, as there are several SFPRP in this neighborhood that share driveways.

Bellow is a photo of the LFL in front of the SFPRP:

Please remove for being on PRP. Thanks!

According to zoning maps, that LFL is not placed on PRP, it is outside the boundaries.

Residents are responsible for maintaining those areas. If they do not mow those areas in the warmer months, the city can fine them.

That doesn’t make it PRP

I don’t know where you found that map, but the city’s website states that they don’t offer a service to find property bounderies.

While the City of Fargo does not offer a service to find your property boundaries, we can offer some tips on finding them yourself.

So you found this bit too then

So no way to prove what the actual property lines are. Easements are typically considered a part of the property here, and have to be maintained by the owners.

I have requested other LFLs in similar locations to be removed, and Niantic has granted them in the past in Fargo.

My highlight says otherwise. And i dk why they say they dont provide a boundary map… but thats clearly from their website.

I don’t even know who lives here. Do you really expect me to go ask them to contact Niantic to have it removed?

Also, this from the PRP criteria:

Again, this area is required to be maintained by the homeowner. The city would not install a LFL in front of PRP.

Why would I expect you to do that?

That’s basically what you are saying. You are trying to keep this Wayspot, even though you don’t live here.

Muting, BTW.

Im saying the waypoint doesnt meet removal criteria. You’re trying to remove this wayspot even though you dont live there.

I live in this city. I know the rules, you don’t.

I’m asked for this to be deleted. I don’t know why you have to do this, especially based off of the criteria clarification.

Thanks for the appeal, Explorer. This Wayspot doesn’t meet our criteria for removal at this time.
