Remove wayspot that had been deleted

  • Wayspot Title: Dragón Ball
  • Location (lat/lon): 19.663678,-99.092782
  • City: San Pablo de las Salinas
  • Country: Mexico
  • Screenshot of the Rejection Email (do not include your personal information):

  • Additional Information (if any): The portal, as can be seen in the screenshot of the email, was eliminated for the fourth time, resorting again to being proposed by the agent, again ignoring the decision made by NIA.

In previous years, the complaint had also been made in this forum, accepting the appeal for elimination, even the agent himself appealed the elimination, but as expected NIA rejected it.

Attached is the link to the previous appeal where the portal is accepted to be deleted again:

Hey,
Ingress is no longer part of Wayfarer, as such, anything about the POI database for that game can not be asked on this forum anymore

??? Then why the topic name is “Wayspot Appeals”?

This IS for Wayfarer. Ingress is no longer part of Wayfarer. They are setting up a separate system. Maybe check this for help?

It is very confusing that it still says “Wayspot” on the “Recon Help Center”

But…I can continue to see that NIA continues to provide solutions to these appeals through this medium

The appeals you see are for wayspots, which are currently used by Pokémon Go, Pikmin Bloom, Monster Hunter Now, and Wayfarer itself, as these four things (along with Campfire) were acquired by Scopely and are no longer under Niantic ownership.

As of May 23rd, Ingress has been disconnected from Wayfarer, as Niantic kept ownership of Ingress, Peridot and the Geospatial Browser, under the umbrella of Niantic Spatial.

You can read more about the final sync with Ingress here:

For any Ingress Portals that need reporting or reinstating, you will have to go through whatever channels Niantic Spatial provide for such things, as their database is now separate from the Wayfarer database.

but Niantic answered that post, and that post is for Ingress portal

Even if they answer here, I would not expect any action taken to affect the portal. The portal position is no longer connected to the Wayfarer process.

Given all that’s been said…..Let’s wait for the Wayfarer Team response on this.

Your appeal will be reviewed and removed if necessary. The changes, if made, will not reflect in Ingress. Ingress Prime is no longer associated with Wayfarer.

Thanks for the appeal, @drag0nforce. After reviewing the additional evidence provided, we’ve decided to retire the Wayspot in question.
