  Wayspot was created on December 23th, after being deleted before. It’s a real wall-art piece, located on an old farm building. You can visit, scan, walk around (and even touch) the wall art , so it meets all the criteria for accessibility for other players. Also it’s visible in Street View (since a long time and multiple occasions) . The wayspot itself was approved after an appeal by the people from Niantic Wayfarer, so it’s strange why they suddenly removed it now. Thank you!

I am confused. Are you appealing a denied removal report, or trying to get a removed Wayspot reinstated? That email translates as an acceptance.

Private farms are ineligible:

Private Residences, Farmland & K-12

Single-family private residential properties (SFPRP), farms, and K-12 (schools or facilities primarily focused for persons under 18 years of age) are ineligible. This includes the outer facing facade, fence of these locations, and property boundaries. Objects in or upon apartment blocks, gated communities, or their shared spaces may be eligible assuming they otherwise meet criteria and are intended to be accessed by a community, even if not everyone. I don’t see it as a portal, so I think you are appealing to get it restored. You will need proof that this clarification does not apply here, too.

My appeal is an appeal to get it restored.

It’s not SFPRP. The wall-art is on the outside of the building and instigated by the local community.
That is what it also makes it a wayspot in my opinion. The wall where the painting is made on is part of a building that was built in 1910. In 2009 the surrounding area was transformed into a new neighbourhood, where before there was farmland. As a symbol from the new people who came and live here they made this painting with the (new) local community. It’s a painting from the sun, because before the new neighbourhood was built around it you could see the sunrise from that point.

Thanks for the appeal, @pieter2014. We have taken another look but stand by our decision to retire this Wayspot.
