You should be able to change email accounts. I’m just saying that if you have ever had another Pokemon Go account and it was associated with that email address, I don’t think you’ll be able to get another one associated with that email address.

I in no way meant to accuse you of lying when I said that you should be able to use the same email. That was not my intention and I am sorry if it came across that way. I will leave this to the ambassador

Did you try, in Pokémon Go, to disconnect your gmail and connect it new?
Yes, I had an old one, i disconnected it after linking it to Facebook, now when I try to connect new gmail it says it already associated with other player. I even contacted the niantic support and they just said that they can’t do anything
Did you still have somehow access to your previous gmail account?

Yes I have access to that but I don’t want that to be linked anymore
It is one of my relative’s account which I used when creating my pogo account back then and I don’t want it to be associated with my account.
Could you check if that account is receiving wayfarer related emails?
