Hey btw sorry to disturb you again, but I am stuck wait a question about submission. So I have some possible submission options. Ii am a bit too confused. Please take time reading and understanding this if you can help me out.
The highlighted one are possible submission ideas.
Green shows the 4 same mural made on 4 diff location so ii can choose one of these.
Yellow is a diff submission idea.
Red are again 2 diff submission idea. One of those I sent which got rejected and i sent an appeal.
So the problem is idk which submissions have any possibility of being made into a pokestop due to there location and their level 17 cell colliding with pokestops that already exist. Now I’m sharing a pic, the circle are those which don’t have any image or description of those powerspots.
I moved this question to a new thread so it wouldn’t be buried in your support needs. Unfortunately I need to step away from the forum for a bit right now, but others here are great at this kind of advice.
Don’t worry about the imported powerspots which have an orange marker. These don’t prevent wayspots from being submitted and don’t stop those wayspots becoming pokestops. They don’t appear for reviewers to mark submissions as duplicate.
Sometimes the imported powerspots will be real things which are eligible to be submitted as wayspots. Most of the time they won’t be. You can take note of the powerspots to help you find things, but only if what you find is then a real thing which meets wayspot criteria.
If you have a choice of things to submit and don’t want to submit everything (e.g., there are multiples of one thing and you think they would get marked as duplicate so only want to submit one of them), then knowing the cell boundaries is useful because this can help you choose which eligible things to submit.
Since there is no wayspot map, one approach would be to mark the s17 cells which are known to be occupied, for which you need some sort of image editing tool. Then you can cross-check your possible submissions against the unused cells.
To your paragraph oone:-
The orange marker is for all powerspots, only the 2 of them didn’t had a pic. Rest all had description and a picture. So they all are going to interfere? And i dont want to resubmit them, I want to make different submission around them!.
The blue one are all pokestop and gyms
Third:- The problem is that most of those pokestops lie on the boundary, so I can’t make sure with cell they lie in. It’s really hard to tell.
I also have this question which any answer I get isn’t helping me. If there is a pokestop is a s17 cell, ik I can’t get another pokestop. But if there is a powerspot (which has a description and a picture) can another submission make a pokestop in the same s17?
Also is iitc cell marker accurate? I don’t want it’s pokestop marking, just the cell distribution.
Hi @Sash12321
The orange exclamation points can be:
Imported wayspots for powerspots
Accepted nominations which became powerspots
Accepted nominations before they will sync into the game as pokestop/gym
If an imported location fullfills the wayspot criterias it’s possible to nominate them as a real (user generated) wayspot. → that you can have in review
If imported locations get edits (add a photo or description) you will have those edits in review.
Accepted nominations that became powerstops
That’s the point, here everyone is saying that they are just imports and won’t affect my other submission.
But if there are accepted, they would affect my other submission in that s17 cell by the 22 m rule right?
I’m not a cell specialist but to my knowledge it isn’t possible that only 1 real wayspot occupies the cell AND is a powerspot.
The first accepted wayspot in the small cell will become a pokestop or gym.
The next thing in the same cell, if it’s >22m away from the first will become a powerspot. And than the cell is full and every additional accepted nomination in that cell will stay in the datapool (and as orange exclamation mark on the map).
Personally I wouldn’t fret too much about the cells and just submit the potential wayspots anyway. Please note that if Niantic think that you are misplacing wayspots in order to get them into another cell this may have unpleasant consequences.
For the 5th time I am telling this that i what to know empty cell to find something in that cell to submit, I have for now reason misplacing my submissions
