Was just having a flick through some reviews and came across this one. After a closer look, it looks like a duplicate (sort of as in it’s on/part of another wayspot)
My question is, is there a way to annotate leave a note to explain as it’s not super obvious at a glance.
But as you can see, the plaque is there, and in the new nomination you can see the very base of the post and the steps/hand rail in the background of both.
Anyway any tips much appreciated
(Obviously I’ve marked as a duplicate, but I noticed on some reviews I have a box for comments, whereas some I don’t)

Unfortunately, there isn’t a way to leave a note when marking as a duplicate. You can only leave a note when rejecting for Accuracy currently, or when receiving a title/description/location edit.
I’m not really surprised that someone submitted this, as it may not be in PoGo. This L17 S2 cell already have plenty of Wayspots in it, and only 1 is allowed per L17 S2 cell in PoGo. Some don’t understand that if something is already on the Wayfarer map doesn’t guarantee that it will be in PoGo, due to PoGo’s density rules, which Wayfarer has no control over.
If it had been submitted because someone didn’t know it was already in the database, the entire structure would have been the submission. Since they focussed on the tiny little plaque, which is the least obvious part of the remembrance, it is extremely likely they were trying to slip in a second wayspot… without realising that that was completely pointless.
Hopefully it gets rejected as duplicate by enough reviewers for this to be the outcome.
Not necessarily. The photo for the other Wayspot barely shows the plaque in the ground, and another Wayspot here could be the stop/gym in PoGo. We don’t always know why a submitter submits what they do.

I was just curious, as it is not super obvious as the marker is also not In the correct location (looking at street view and where it has been placed, ie you can’t see it the soldiers)
You can quite clearly see though from the photo of the existing it’s the same plaque if you zoom right in. However it may be easy to miss from the submissions supporting photos.
Just wondered if there was a better way to flag things like this. But I guess not

If it gets rejected as a duplicate, the submitter will get that rejection reason. If you find it was approved, you can request removal for being a duplicate via help chat on the Wayfarer website or using the Reporting Abuse link at the top of the forums.
