Hi, I would just like to understand what criteria Wayfarer violated my request. This time I submitted the application as a graffiti, therefore as art, instead of a square thinking it would be better.
Do you recommend that I resubmit the request as a square again.
Thanks
That’s stretching the definition of art quite a bit. Nonpermanent vandalism is indeed not eligible and it was correctly rejected.
This had infinitely better chances as a plaza.
Wayfarer Criteria is the rejection reason used by ML, the AI system. Your rejection email should also say that this was rejected by “our team,” not “our community.”
This is just a graffiti tag, not unique art. This is not eligible, per criteria below:
Yes, the plaza/square, however you call it, is eligible. It would make for a great place to socialize with others, a good meet-up place or to sit and have a little chat.
The angle you now show looks better than what you shared in your previous post about this plaza (for context: Appeal Wayspot Piazzetta Rinaldo Rigola refuse - #2 by cyndiepooh ), yes. You may still have a hard time convincing reviewers that this is where people socialize, so if there is some proof to support that aspect, I would definitely include it.
Don’t use the screenshot for your nomination, download the full resolution photo from the Wayfarer website instead.
You still need to take a supporting photo that would be distinct from the main one, so no, only one photo wouldn’t work.
To prove that people socialize I would have photos of parties with people but this violates the criteria so I don’t know what proof to provide and it is a simple neighborhood square where children play and neighborhood parties like New Year’s Eve are held.
what should the support photo look like?
Would a wider photo be okay?
People are not allowed in main photos if their faces are showing, or their bodies are what’s being focused on. As for the supporting photo, it should show the plaza with the surrounding area, so a wider view of it with the rest of the area in the background and/or foreground.
Here’s one of my supporting photos for a basketball court that’s next to some pickleball courts, as well as a bocce ball court, at a local park. It’s also near some houses in the neighborhood, which help to place mark where the basketball court is. This nomination was accepted, and is now a Wayspot; my main photo focused on the hoop.
You need to provide info in your description and supporting info to support that this meets criteria. You can simply say that there are regular parties for different events and holidays held here. You can note that children enjoy playing here. Saying these things in the description and/or supporting info should be good enough.
I reapplied with the photos listed above and again they rejected me with the reason “wayfarer criteria” now I really don’t understand what’s wrong because they don’t give any explanation. It seems to me that its AI is not well done because I seem to meet all its requirements both for socializing and with the added photos also it is well documented in google maps. Is there no way to contact with a real person?
The fundamental problem is the reason “wayfarer criteria” that does not specify what exactly is the error because I just read their criteria on the website and I satisfied them all, maybe their AI is not very developed, not to say poorly made, because you can go on forever if you do not give an exact reason and a person cannot spend all his time trying to satisfy the AI requirements.
So this community has no influence to contact them?
ML is finding an issue though, as it learns from how we review and how staff reviews. It also knows the criteria, so it’s finding some issue that could be improved upon.
This is why we have the Nomination Support topic, as it allows you to post your nominations that have been rejected and get feedback from the community. It can be frustrating to continuously get a nomination rejected by ML, but having other humans here in the forums take a look can help improve it, as well as improve future nominations.
Feel free to post your latest rejected nomination for this, and again, we’re more than happy to take a look to see what could be the issue.
Apparently ML does not have a large enough database to learn because it does not do its job properly in the meantime I evaluate hundreds of other people’s wayspots dedicating time and not gaining anything not even an adequate response from an official support team, that said the proposal that was rejected is this:
It’s possible that it was rejected because ML has seen the main photo before as the supporting photo for something that is ineligible. You just may need to take new photos, possibly at a different angle, one that doesn’t have the graffiti tag in it.
Otherwise, you do have the option of appealing, and a human staff member will look at it. You get 2 appeals every 20 days.
Aggiorno questo topic che sono riuscito a farmi accettare la richiesta con l’uso della revisione di Niantic quindi potete chiudere questo argomento. Grazie per i chiarimenti
