Hello, I’ve started reviewing recently and I enjoy seeing the great (and sometimes not so much) submissions from my area, but I seem to be running out of submissions to check, generally I could only review 7 to 10 submissions before I got a long loading screen and a message telling me there’s no more reviews left, now it’s only like 2 before I get the message there’s no more things to review.
Is this common place? I seem to not be able to get upgrades either since I don’t think there’s many reviewers (or at least not enough) to get things through, be it denied submissions or accepted.
I tried setting up my bonus location in the capital of my country (Dominican Republic) but I still don’t see many reviews a day.
Hey, thanks for the reply, I cannot change my bonus location since I recently set it up, should I contact Niantic about this?
Also looking further into my issue i found a thread talking about something called “Cupid Spanned” which is where the site can’t determine your location properly, is there a way to fix this or is it staying like that given that where I live there’s not that much activity in general?
The indicator for this is if the featured wayspots in the website are Cupid Span and the other sample featured. If you’re seeing local featured, it is likely that the Wayfarer activity in your region is low.
It may also be that the bonus and home location coverage overlaps with your other review ranges. Tagging @NianticAaron to ask if something can be done about it.
I just thought people really liked this one so it was always featured lol, I was impressed every time I saw it.
Also in the screenshot you can see how my Upgrade bar never goes up, i’m assuming it’s because none of the nominations i’ve reviewed actually have gone through because of the lack of more reviewers, is this the case? is upgrading even worth my time on this case since it won’t reach anyone else?
It can be that the reviews aren’t yet resolved. Alternatively, your review decisions are not the agreed decision of the other reviewers. The upgrade bar counts agreements, not reviews done.
I am not sure how far upgrades reach in the Caribbean. I would use mine for things that are seen as acceptable across other places, like basketball courts and churches.
I want to say thanks for answering my concerns and for trying to help me out here I don’t mean to waste anybody’s time with my problems, i’m attaching a picture of my standing with reviews for adding context, also, i’ve read it takes months for some places to get their submissions through, for me (albeit rejected, currently trying to appeal) it took a little over than 24 hours I believe
Mentioning this because i’d guess other reviews should have a similar time? like at least one of the 41 i’ve checked out right?

This rejection can be due to the AI filter, you can check the contributions tab for a rejection that shows:

It may be good to check in after a few days if these reviews are fresh. IMO would attribute this to a lack of Wayfarer activity, in general. Considering few reviews and slow submission decisions from community voting.
The ones that get rejected within 24 hours are those that the automatic process ( nickname Emily) has checked and the algorithm has considered it likely to be one that won’t be acceptable. Emily can get this wrong which is why you can appeal and a staff member will review it. They can either confirm rejection or approve.
If you would like to create a post in the nomination support area you could show us some of your submissions and we can give advice.
It looks like the balance of submissions and reviewers is not great in your country. It is good that you are submitting and reviewing. And if you are in contact with others then reminding them to review is also good.
If some people in this community have the option to change bonus location then it would be very welcome. Would you like to provide the name of your town so if anyone can help they know where to go.
I live in the city called Santiago De Los Caballeros in the Dominican Republic, just as a general update regarding the upgrades, I encouraged my friend to review with me, and we finally got a nomination accepted, wish I could see which one it was that got accepted, but i’m very thankful for everybody’s help figuring all this stuff out, also just to reiterate any and all help is welcome out here, alright thanks a lot guys
