I know that this may not be the right forum category, but I’m not sure where to post it. I’m concerned by an appeal rejection I received stating:
“Thanks for the appeal, Explorer! The nomination is connected to pond which is a natural feature and it falls under rejection criteria. If there is an information marker sign which represents the natural feature to be a public attraction site or historic, it would greatly increase the odds of this nomination being eligible. We recommend you review the Wayspot Criteria before submitting your next Wayspot contribution: Rejection Criteria — Wayfarer Help Center”
I checked that URL, and it actually says nothing about natural features. There is also nothing about natural features in the rejection criteria posted here: Niantic Wayfarer
Therefore, it seems that my appeal has been decided using a rejection criteria that doesn’t actually exist. What to do?
In addition to apparently not existing, the quote rejection criteria seems inconsistent with the 5/15/2024 criteria clarifications. For example, the Parks & Outdoor Recreation clarification states: “A nomination can be made for a park even if a park does not have a physical sign but is clearly a park.” However, I’ve not had a single nomination approved without a manmade sign like shown in the example photo.
I would greatly appreciate assistance on how to get natural features that are great places to exercise, explore and socialize approved.
