Sensitive Port Area(Ningbo, China)

When submitting a Wayspot Appeal, make sure to include as much of the following information as possible:

  • Wayspot Title: 红码头候车亭
  • Location (lat/lon) 29.928727,121.874968
  • City: Ningbo
  • Country: China

Why it is not suitable as a Portal:

  1. Sensitive and Restricted Location: The Beilun Port ore terminal is a critical industrial and logistical facility, handling significant maritime cargo. Such areas are subject to strict security and restricted access due to their strategic importance. Niantic prohibits Portals in sensitive industrial zones to prevent security risks or operational disruptions.

  2. Limited Accessibility: Located within the port’s ore terminal, the bus shelter is accessible only to authorized personnel (e.g., port workers), not the general public. Niantic requires Portals to be safely accessible to at least some players, but the terminal’s restricted nature (e.g., gated entry, security checks) makes this infeasible.

  3. Lack of Cultural or Community Value: The bus shelter, while functional, likely lacks the cultural, historical, or artistic significance required for a Portal. Niantic prioritizes Wayspots that encourage exploration or community engagement, but a utilitarian structure in an industrial zone does not meet these standards.

Additionally, all Portals within the Beilun Port ore terminal area, including the nearby 港区喷泉(Port Area Fountain, Ingress), should be removed as well.

Hi!

I would like to remind you to abide by the rules of the forum and to stay factual in your appeals. I have redacted all personal accusations and gameplay arguments from your appeal as they have zero relevance in an appeal post - it doesn’t matter for the eligibility of the wayspot who uses the object for what in-game.

In addition, for appealing a rejected wayspot removal request on here, proof of a rejected in-game removal request will generally be required. Please include a screenshot of the rejection email of your removal request if you have one.

Thank you for your understanding!
