Simple Wayfarer Check :- Yes/No

Just come across a featured wayspot.

While it’s nice artwork on these shutters it’s also on a commercial business premises as well and above the shutter is the name of the shop.

Would you Approve or Deny !!!

This is just a bit of a fun post and for taking a break between reviewing.

A Simple Yes Or No will suffice.

Wayspots are allowed on business properties, and the artwork seems to have been commissioned, so yes, seems like an easy acceptance on the face of things.

Yes. The sign and shutters are consistent with one another so I believe that it was done by the shop. I see no reason why this wouldn’t be eligible.

If it’s just for fun…

I would mark it as a duplicate and then ask Niantic to send warning emails about reviewing to @hankwolfman @LetsRollGirl @cyndiepooh

and how would that be fun?

At this moment I wanted to say yes. But now :scream:

Well @cyndiepooh gets full marks for reading and then following the instructions :joy:
The rest of us need to stay in After school for extra tuition.

I must follow instructions

Oh yes, I would approve this. I’ve approved many murals like this in the past. Many times, the businesses have them put up to help combat graffiti, or to even beautify the neighborhood. And it’s a pet supply store, so the mural is a great design for them.

Yes. It doesn’t matter if it’s on a commercial business premises, murals are eligible. Unless it’s on SFPRP or a school, which would be kind of weird, or obstructs emergency services.

Ha! Yes/No answers are rarely useful on their own… And it seems you agree!

Yes! Though I don’t just rate on the basis of the picture, this is ART in my book, (explore) and if I lived in that neighborhood I honestly would think of it as important. But I think neighborhood name signs are important too, and at this point in history Wayfarer does not, so don’t listen to me!

Would something not commissioned by the property owner or renter ever be eligible? Full disclosure, among various potentially unpopular opinions, while I LOVE graffiti in many situations, but I would reject it in wayfarer because it’s unlikely to be permanent. Although I was unable to make pokemon gofest in New York, USA, this year I went in 2023 and saw pieces by graffiti artists I was aware were no longer working and in one case had been dead for decades. I’d judge those to be at least as permanent as this store shutter, and if I saw such a piece up for review I’d gladly take a rating hit in wayfarer even though some number between many and most people think it’s “vandalism.”

Yes

1000% yes!
