I just requested a PokeStop to be added to my brand new business in Ohio City! The name is Spooky’s Studio and we have a massive high tops basketball arcade game inside for costumers! I have played the game since 2016 and would LOVE to have a PokeStop here since I still play every single day. Also would love for Pokemon fans to swing by (we used pokemon energy cards for price tags lol)
Welcome to the forum!
Would you like feedback on how your nomination looks to us? You can share screenshots of the nomination.
I don’t want to dampen your enthusiasm, but a quick google search tells me your location may not be eligible to be a Pokestop or gym if it is in this grid near the orange dot:
To explain what I mean, I have this written up for when I see a wheresmypokestop question:
I know the prompt tells you that you are submitting a “Pokestop” but you are actually submitting a Wayspot to the database. The Wayspot can only become a Pokestop or gym if it is alone in a level 17 S2 cell. (The S2 cell use has not been officially confirmed to my knowledge, but staff has acknowledged there is an additional step.) This is a good article about S2 cells and how they have been observed to be used in PoGo: https://pokemongohub.net/post/article/comprehensive-guide-s2-cells-pokemon-go/
Hello and welcome,
This isn’t a unique game. I searched it online, and it can easily be purchased. Other places have them. It’s a kid version of an arcade basketball game that other arcades have.
i don’t think that featuring a mass produced machine would invalidate an arcade corner, but i can’t really give advice without seeing the nomination. still seems like it could be a great place for exploration and being social per criteria. maybe not really for exercise, but a nomination only needs to meet one of the three core criteria, without meeting any ineligible conditions.
I think it is this store. It looks like a vintage apparel store. If the store’s features are appealing enough and reviewers are interested in going there, it could be acceptable. But it is a difficult type of business to be accepted. But as @cyndiepooh already pointed out, there should already be a PokéStop in the parcel even then.
Yes, this isn’t an arcade, but a vintage store. The store could be a great place to explore.
I understand that. An arcade CORNER could be a great place to explore. I will leave this one to you.
It’s just 1 game, not a few. I would expect an arcade corner to have a few games, not one. 1 arcade game makes this a tough sell as an arcade corner.
@LexiRoss21 The game is going to beva hard sell to the community, since it’s mass-produced. The store itself may be easier, as a vintage store may be a great place to explore. If you fo decide to nominate the store, it would be good to include their website in the supporting info; just looking at the website made me want to check the store out.
