The other day I was reviewing submissions like usual. Click, rate, comment, and move on. Nothing special.
Then the next day I’m scrolling and I see a nomination I had approved. Someone posted it with the caption, “No way I made this waypoint.”
I just sat there thinking, “Well… actually-”
The post didn’t have many views and the profile was small, but the excitement was huge. You could feel it through the screen. Pure joy. Pure disbelief.
Meanwhile I’m on the other side, casually clicking buttons in my pajamas during my free time.
It hit me. Even as a beginner reviewer, I’m part of these moments. Someone out there is celebrating because of a decision I made in 20 seconds.
I’ve only submitted one Wayspot myself so far, just to test the waters. Now I’m not sure what I’m waiting for more, the approval or the emotional rollercoaster.
Either way, I get it now.
