  • Additional Information (if any):

I came across this Wayspot pinned where it couldn’t possibly exist. Since Fire Stations obstruct emergency services and should not be accepted, I reported it for removal from the Wayfarer Map. “Obstructs Emergency Services” is not an option, so I chose “Unsafe Access” as the closest reason.

Today I got the rejected report notice. I went to look at my reporting history and saw that the location had simply been corrected to where Google Maps shows the label for the station. Are Fire Stations eligible now?

It is strange, however, just looking at the satellite view, it does appear to have safe access without obstructing emergency services (still would have expected removal)

The photo is of the bays where the trucks come out. How could this not obstruct emergency services? And why isn’t that a removal reason on the report?

Agree, but you could argue that it is a picture of the building, and to the right there seems to be a normal entrance.

Agree also that it should be a separate removal reason

Wow, honestly leaving it at the wrong location would have been better - simply inaccurate rather than obstructing emergency services  inaccuracy at least isn’t dangerous.

Thanks for the appeal, @cyndiepooh We gave this a second look and decided to retire the Wayspot in question.
