Submission through PoGo approved to a cell that USED to be occupied, but no stop appeared

Hi there guys,

I recently had a wayfarer submission approved (submitted through Pokemon go). It’s been over 48 hours and the stop has not shown up. I actually had another submission approved yesterday and it already appeared in game so the refresh definitely happened. We know the cell is free because in August someone moved the existing waypoint to another cell for accuracy reasons (the new cell that one was moved to was already occupied so we ended up losing a stop).

I checked the map marker thing when submitting a new stop again, the exclamation mark is there and it doesn’t look like the new submission got moved in the process. Only potential thing I could think of is that it has to do with the fact that the cell was previously occupied and maybe it didn’t update in the old database so there’s still some type of conflict.

New Submission Name: Espalier Apples Garden
New Submission Coordinates: 43.737308, -79.483423
Pokestop that got moved and is longer in the game: Downsview Park Orchard Pavilion

Any help would be appreciated!

This is from Ingress so the Wayspot of “Downsview Park Orchard Pavilion” is not moved in Ingress.

However you do have another Wayspot here which should now be the PokéStop of “Downsview Park Sign At Orchard Entrance”.

So then your new Wayspot doesn’t meet the inclusion rules for Pokémon GO. Marker it on map for ease. The coordinates you provided are the red pin

Ah, I overlooked the “Downsview Park Sign At Orchard Entrance” because when the Pavilion stop got moved that one did not appear in the game as a stop either. I heard the Ingress database and whatever PoGo uses now is different (and thats why Pavillion is still there in ingress), could this somehow cause the issue?

You’re correct that the Ingress and Pokémon GO maps are now separate but that’s not the cause of your Wayspot not appearing on Pokémon GO at all.

As noted, the one I highlighted should now be the PokéStop but I don’t know if there are other changes such as another Wayspot in that cell that didn’t meet Ingress’ inclusion rules (and thus wouldn’t show on the app I’ve used) but did meet Pokémon GO’s and that’s now the PokéStop instead?

There is no new stop or anything there in that vacinity in Pokemon go, only old stops/gyms in the adjacent cells. I left the park so I can’t take a picture anymore but I was there earlier. Also the pavillion stop got moved a couple of weeks ago so something should have appeared by now if one already existed.
