I have gotten several stops approved and added to an area but I have one that’s approved but hasn’t been added in almost a month?
Welcome to the forum!
I found an Ingress portal for this Wayspot at 38.793586,-97.63683 and don’t see anything that would prevent it from being added to Pokemon Go.
Leaving the coordinates here and hoping someone else can figure it out. I checked for other Wayspots that aren’t showing as portals, and don’t see any.
I feel like I should correct this to you got several Wayspots approved, because - despite what the prompt says - you submit Wayspots, not Pokestops. There is a further algorithm for stops to appear in Pokemon Go. They must be alone in an L17 S2 cell. For more about that, you can see this article:
https://pokemongohub.net/post/article/comprehensive-guide-s2-cells-pokemon-go/
But this particular Wayspot does appear to be alone, so idk why it would not show.
To illustrate, both of these are in the same L17 S2 cell, so only one most likely shows in Pokemon Go:
@cyndiepooh It’s possible that the cell border is off on that map and it’s in the same cell as “Salina Tech Little Free Library?” Maybe?
I double-checked the map and saw nothing preventing it from syncing either.
@PunchyRock86 Can you confirm that the other wayspots in the area are showing in Pokémon GO?
It’s definitely in its own cell, I’ve checked and the coordinates are north of the cell border.
i have never known pogo-s2 cell lines to be off, or iitc portal placement. i guess anything could happen.
my guess would be a geo block from a previous life for this property, but idk…
my guess if it was submitted on 2025-02-24 and quickly accepted, wait a bit more maybe today’s sync batch includes it
Usually the Pokemon Go sync is before the Ingress sync - except on Mondays in the US when PoGo doesn’t seem to have a regular sync anymore - but I guess that is a possibility
TBH, I posted the two that were in the same cell up above because I thought possibly they were asking about the wrong Wayspot.
the synchronization came first on pogo, then after ingress, my 2 accepted poketops appeared .
Faut attendre 48h pour quil apparaissent , sois patient , si les conditions sont reunies.
Sorry the one in question is over a month old and I got one approved and a day later it was there but the month old approval is still not there. Just curious to why that happens
How do I get to the map that you used so I can make sure that doesn’t happen again
That map I am using is iitc, which is a map of ingress portals, with an overlay called pogo-s2. It will not show all wayspots, just ones being used in ingress, but that pogo-s2 overlay shows exactly where the cell lines are.
I so appreciate that Niantic is allowing us to talk about tools like this here on the forum, so I try to make extra clear that using this knowledge to falsely pin a nomination so that it will be in an empty cell is abuse that Niantic takes very seriously. Use the knowledge of cells to looks for where things exist in real life that will be eligible to show in Pokemon Go.
I’ve seen it a couple of times, but I’ll admit those portals were way closer to the border than that one is. I agree it’s likely a geo-block or a sync issue.
If your still confused, the post was ninja edited.
In the beginning, the picture in question was “Salina Tech Donor Wall”, which was submitted on 2025-02-24, and confirmed as “day later it was there”,
then the screenshot in the post was replaced with “salina area tech school 2003”, and THAT was “month old approval is still not there”. Because the cell is occupied, as it turned out. No geo-block.
Hope it helps.
