Hi.
If I’m not posting in the right place I apologize, I’m not used to the forum, and it’s all in English I’m lost even if I translate the site.

I recently had a problem during a recent Pokéstop submission. On October 6, 2025 I was able to see on the Facebook page of a neighboring town, the inauguration of a new bus station, and I was also able to see that they had asked street artists to paint the 3 bus shelters, to decorate the place. So I went to submit two of the three bus shelters a few days later, because as such I know that this does not work (at least in France) but if they are decorated, this is accepted.

The first “Le Héron” was accepted in 3 days by the community, but the second “Le Renard” (The Fox) was voted on by Niantic. After a few days they accepted the proposal, but there is a problem. The location of the Pokéstop was modified and they put it in the same place as the first which had been accepted by the community. So obviously being too close to each other, the one accepted by Niantic never appeared!

Why did Niantic move my Pokéstop when it was precisely in the right place? In the additional information, I provided the Facebook link which shows that it no longer looked like the satellite view or even the Street View, that there had been work, that the bus shelters were no longer next to each other but were spaced a dozen meters apart, and despite the information provided, I am convinced that unlike the community, Niantic completely ignored them even though they were the ones who ask us to help voters by providing more guidance.

And the problem is that when I now request it again, it is refused as a duplicate because it already exists in their database, even if it does not appear in any game.
Below is the refusal by Niantic for duplicate (DOUBLONS) received less than an two hours ago.

How can I resolve this?
Niantic is at fault, I ask that the refusal by duplicates be finally accepted in the location that I proposed.

You can use help chat to move unused wayspot and provide all necesary evidence

Hi @survolt69
Did you know that you could write in your prefered language here on the forum? If the language is foreign to your set ups there’ll be a little globe icon under the post. That’s the translation tool:

Hey @survolt69 ,

The Wayspot is currently at the correct location and doesn’t require any adjustments.

Please note that submitting Wayspot nominations at incorrect locations in an attempt to manipulate the gameboard is considered abuse and may lead to sanctions on your Wayfarer and game accounts.

If they have changed the location of the bus shelters did you use the supplemental image to show the nomination in conjunction with the others?

You could try taking an image of each using “GPSCameraApp” which overlays the GPS Co-ordinates on to the photo.

It seems that the only evidence available to Reviewers and Niantic show all three shelters next to each other, you need to provide the evidence if that is no longer the case.

Good luck.

Yes, that’s exactly what I did.

I had taken a picture from the side to show that it was no longer agglomerated in a corner but spread along the length of the bus station, with this photo:

While before on the Street View of Google Maps, we see them agglomerated on one side only: Google Maps

Apparently this is not enough since I am indirectly accused of manipulation, and consequently of lying.

Both streetview and ‘satellite’ images show the bus shelters as being next to each other in the same cell. Your picture shows that they have been redeveloped, not just painted, with the shelters being much further apart than they were previously.

Thanks for this photo @survolt69 , I have moved to the Wayspot to its correct location and you should see the changes reflected soon.

My apologies for the confusion. My intention was not to accuse you. That was a general information. In retrospect, I understand how it could have been interpreted differently. I regret the misunderstanding.

Congrats @survolt69 on your new wayspot(s). It sometimes takes a little extra work but you got there in the end.

The suggestion regards (GPSCameraApp) is still valid for any future nominations where StreetView / Satellite does not prove the current location. Remember to only use the app for the supplemental image and NOT the main one.

Lol this foto should be the first one to be shown when there is difference with street view and satelite

I also apologize, especially if I may have seemed rude or condescending.
It was a bad day and frustration took over.
Thanks for putting it in the right position.
Have a good day :heart_exclamation:
