You are individual tier 3:
It was great throughout the entire challenge
I had DeepL translator open in one tab while reviewing in another. Using a plugin the text gets sent to the translator in just a second.
(perfect example image lol)
Well, that certainly helped with edit backlog. I went from like 80+ edits in queue / voting down to just 27, and most got approved too! A few rejects that IMO make no sense but, still pretty helpful for the most part.
Now just hoping the 110 reviews I did end up counting enough to get the tier 1 rewards.
Itās great we clear so much but also understandable that there will be some mistakes in this situation. Many people reviewing in languages and cultures they are less knowledgeable about. Itās time to appeal or resubmit the ones that you think were important.
Could I just ask - how do you calculate your agreement percentage?
One can get the weekly/monthly OPR agreements from Ingress, but what do you use as the denominator?
I tried to take part, think i got 30 done, but the system kept erroring out, aski g me to reload, i swear i sat for 5 minutes reloading at one point, sk i just had to give up
My take aways from this are several, but I think itās best to put only one item in a reply because Iām not smart enough to figure out what people are talking about sometimes. First one is that I wish there would be a place for supporting picture for location edits. Most of the location edits I saw I was completely unable to judge. I looked on streetview and satellite view usually, unless they were indoor ones.
The blunder is they removed redeeming from Android as well. I guess so people can view the store online which circumvents losing 30% from Google and Apple.
I think the initial total participants number was astounding. Imagine each person only doing a few and we would have hit the highest tier. However, many comments online were about people accidentally being in the challenge once they received reviews in different languages. If only there was a translation button within the review process, more people might have taken part in this challenge even to do a few just to see how it was.
Only 1/3 managed to review more than 50 Wayspots to receive rewards.
Nice to see that there are more than 30k Wayfinder worldwide using Wayfarer.
Yes we do! I got the best E-mail bomb ever thanks to this challenge. Got over 300 emails from Niantic during the USA days!
The Wayfarer tools, isnāt that considered as third party software which is prohibited according to TOS (and could potentially lead to a ban?
Hold on, so the top 10 reviewers did around 61k reviews of the total 101k?
The issues this time were definitely worse than last time, first day i managed 250 while i worked, but after that my available days and errors made it much harder. I got my 500+ but it was a grind at the end.
I hope next time its better, and i guess ill aim for 5k or so haha.
Well done top 10 and the community.
After a discussion elsewhere on ārejectingā submissions that do not belong in the system, how do you reject very generic submissions?
Would you simply thumbs down āpermanent and distinctā? Or do you take the risk and 4 up 3 down and hope it equals reject?
Also what was your average time spent reviewing per day for this challenge? haha (for me bank holiday weekend meant less time as taking care of a 3 year old means no review time )
This is what I did, and my rating dropped, presumably partly due to the number of rejections I had to do on this challenge, which felt much higher than usual. So I assume it doesnāt mean reject.
Which leaves us with no way to actually reject things by saying theyāre permanent, real, and safe but donāt meet any criteria.
Yes this is what i do too. Though they probably should make the āpermanent and distinctā criteria explanation (and rejection mail) clearer, as it still seems there is wiggle room for people to argue that its not an appropriate way to reject bad/generic submissions
I usually donāt reject unless itās obvious
If in doubt, the skip button has been very helpful.
Has the āmust spend 15 seconds at each edit/nomination to avoid the banā been removed??
To do 12,596 edits at 15 seconds each requires 52 hours of reviewing!
I gotta say that my stomach is sinking a bit hearing about spending 15-30 seconds on a review⦠Iāve only done a few nominations but they were all quite a bit of work⦠I donāt think someone could read what I wrote in 15 seconds, let alone check the internet/streetview/etc to make sure Iām telling the truth. Most of what Iāve done has been accepted (25/28, and I think one was because of the upgrade glitch). I did a few more than 250 reviews during this event because it was a reward level, and I try to give them the respect Iād want someone to give my nominations. My supporting text is longer than I usually see, but my goal is to make it easier for reviewers by pointing out where the supporting picture is taken from and in what direction, and adding links that might help confirm my assertions.
