description: A POI from the Niantic game Pokémon Go. It is used in game to give you items.
supplemental information: this nomination is on public property, and there are no in-game references. this is not a generic buisness and is not abuse.
appeal notes: The way point itself is a pokestop therefore no in game references and if you are able to get a niantic employee to look at this because this is my 7th time resubmitting this waypoint
problem: so i am having trouble getting this nomination through the bot it keeps on declining it saying that it has “in game terms” i tried to say that the thing itself is a pokestop but that doesent work.
Since this is an appeal rejection I’m not sure if I am confident that it is a Machine Learning (ML) rejection initially. Often those come from ‘our team’ and the rejection is Wayfarer criteria.
In this case though I would have rejected this for being on Single Family Private Residential Property (SFPRP). See clarification below that covers outside facing fencing etc.:
It was a fun thought, but this one just isn’t going to work out for you.
Creating their own pokestops has been considered abuse by Niantic. Please don’t make something just to get a game location. If you want to work with your community to have a piece of art or little free library at a public location, that would be a great way to proceed. Those you could submit.
Looking at satellite View around your area there is the Hamilton Acers Baptist church a few blocks away that doesn’t appear to have a PoI. Also at Nussbaumer Park to the east looks like the second baseball field, a playground and possibly a picnic shelter could all be submitted. Possibly a few at Baranof Park too.
I would suggest reaching out before submitting these items to someone who can help you with knowing the ins and outs of submitting. Help avoid some frustration in objects getting accepted but possibly not showing up in PoGo.
This is a major problem. Trying to manufacture Wayspots connected to homemade objects may be considered abuse. I strongly advise against trying it again.
