Okay, thanks. I’ll try changing it to Boston for now then, if Im eligible to change today.
I know I used to track the progression of the “old age nom” intervention, which I had first noticed on nominations when they were 2 years and 5 months old. I watched that intervention creep to less and less time before things would either get pushed like an upgrade or pulled into in-house review. I think the last time I had one was at 15 months. But since a Wayfarer challenge cleared the (US) review pool here, and ML started deciding my nominations, I don’t have any idea when that push happens these days. And am very happy that I don’t need to monitor that anymore.
Lol, entertaining that there’s a Reading near Boston, which is where I live in “Old England”
Just respond to my message when you want me to reset the bonus location.
Could I have mine reset?
I have it set to the bahamas and I’ve now realised that the only people who nominate there are people on holiday. I think I’ve seen 1 nomination in my last 200 reviews from the bahamas
I’m praying for @NianticAaron to say no… not sure why I am praying for that… but you know… someone has to.
Morocco was a bit like that
I did at least see a couple of things accepted when reviewing anothe item because the check for duplicates map was almost empty so I was recognising things from earlier reviews
Done!
Cheers mate
I found a review!
Okay can someone please advise on this? Need a mindset shift for sfprp in the US reviews lol
Im assuming this is private residential property, but there is a sign, and the pin doesnt look like its on a house - looks too small
I ended up using “I don’t know” for appropriate and accessible and moving on.
Yeah okay thanks, confirms what I was thinking but wanted to be sure as the rules are SO different in the US and want to ensure I’m applying the correct standard
My bonus location is set to Fiji, but there are no more wayspot to review for me.
I have changed my Bonus to Boston. Can’t wait to see some anti-Yankee Murals!
Welcome to the world of American private residential property
Its a strange world
Could you reset my bonus location? I wouldnt mind helping. Would be for the better since I set it before I understood what it was so its a location near me
First and foremost, I want to thank everyone who has set their bonus location to Boston. For a long time, I was one of the most active reviewers in the Boston area, although I haven’t been doing as many recently.
In late summer (after the queue was largely cleared), I asked on a few different discords what people’s backlogs were, and generally it wasn’t too bad, maybe a few weeks. It might be a little longer now, but things are still going in voting even if they are not resolved.
Many local people’s opinions were shaped by their experience before Emily and the US event. It took forever for things to get resolved, and reviews were largely a crap-shoot. As a result, many people in Boston will not upgrade anything as the perception is that local reviewers are more likely to accept than ones elsewhere in the US. This means that there is largely no direct incentive for people to review and that fewer nominations are shared with the larger pool, forcing people to rely only on the local pool.
Although my nominations have resolved quickly, I am still not upgrading anything. From my conversations, many other locals are doing the same. But I don’t think there is really a backlog locally at this moment. That could change and when I was more active, I could explain the differences in various parts of the metropolitan area. However, with the current system and my current inactivity, such information could do more harm than good.
I’ve said that I don’t think there is much of a backlog, but I’m extremely skeptical of the idea of a black hole in Boston. I have reviewed nominations from throughout the metropolitan area and there didn’t appear to be one. That being said, there could be smaller black holes, but those would be on a much smaller basis.
