I did that yesterday. Worked great. Managed to review 250 nominations in a few hours. Today? Same thing, 3 reviews in half an hour. Tried moving it elsewhere, zero reviews in 10 minutes.
Please hire people capable of doing something worthwile with the system before asking for massive amounts of (unpaid) workforce. As it is, this feels like a school project. Except it has been like this for years… Every challenge I’ve done goes as smooth as an uncontrolled reentry into the atmosphere of an asteroid riddled planet… At some point, we gotta ask: can’t you guys find competent programmers? I know a few… hit me up if you need someone to clean this mess. Maybe you can invest the money you save with our free labour?
Not trying to be a jerk here, but it kinda sucks when half the time I’m giving you for free for your for-profit business is wasted with bugs and glitches… and I’ve worked with videogame developers before… this isn’t going well… at all…
You have my sympathies then, but since the people in charge aren’t really paying us attention, gotta upscale the feedback to someone. The good part is that there’s no lack of interest in the challenge. The bad part is that we can’t do anything until the system lets us.
Also: you knew what you were getting yourself into. Everyone knows their track record. This isn’t anything new. I applaud your dedication, but I’m probably amongst the few who do it. Specially considering Niantic is a multi million dollar company that has huge profits… your work is free because your subject yourselves to it. Just like me and everyone else doing the reviews. All I ask (and from the Ambassadors I know, likely you too as well) is the tools to easily do what they want us to do.
All I can say is that everyone has a boss. “Wayfarer” has been sold and is getting new bosses soon. We have no idea what that will mean for the future and what changes/improvements it could bring. What I can promise is that there are Ambassadors who live in the trenches with you that will be advocating (as we always have) for improvements to make your life WF experience better. (Sorry, I can’t fix anyone’s life…)
Just reviewed a title and description edit for a strip club in California. Not joking. Literally a strip club. How this got past reviewers is beyond me. Google reviews has photos and reviews clearly depicting what it is. Heck, the venue itself is registered as “adult entertainment”.
except that with this reward we can choose the lucky friend and make the choice irl with the player of our choice, it is not a random lucky friend, or a player with whom we do remote remote raids or that we no longer meet
My count went up more yesterday than the new stops reviews I did so I am pretty sure they count. The math of what counts or not has always been a mystery.
